So, I am off from work and I want it to be relaxing. Instead I have this intense agitation that is coming from nowhere. My poor dog wants to be totally attached to me at the hip and all I want is to stay in my room and have no entities with me. (my H is dogsitting for the day) I felt good yesterday, so I guess I should be thankful for that. I am not losing it or anything, just agitated. Does anyone else ever experience unprovoked agitation? Just wondering. Thanks.

This morning, I took my thyroid meds. for hypothyroid and after I took it, I wondered if I had already taken it but didn't remember and still don't. It is a possibiloty, I need to get a daily pill box I guess.
My last blood test showed hyperthyroidism, so I might have only taken one, but it is naturally becoming hyper. I think it is one or the other, but I am having trouble tolerating anyone around me. My H asked if I wanted to watch a movie, but I am staying secluded for now. I don't know why I am sharing this, I guess I am just trying to gigure it out.

Anti, I know the feeling. I require a lot of alone time, which upsets my wife somewhat. But if I'm irritable and moody, she doesn't really want to be around me. I have taken up the didgeridoo which guarantees nobody will be around. My wife, daughter and dog all hate that thing. Maybe you should get one. Ha Ha.

Is agitation like irritability? If it is the same thing I can so relate to you, there are days that I am just irritable and can't pin point way I just am. I tend to also isolate myself in the bedroom so that I don't blow up on my wife.

I am on a whack of meds for type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and have pill boxes I fill for a few weeks worth. I pick them up at the dollar store, you may want to do the same thing...
Thanks for this!

I struggle with this to, am. I hope you find some relaxing moments to savor

I can't relax, because I struggle so much with being in the moment. My thoughts are elsewhere, usually worried about something involving work, and I can't let go of them. I fight hard to do that. Even when I have planned things to do, I can't get to them.

I wish I had an answer or advice, but I don't. I do have compassion though.

Yeah, I definitely need to pick up a pill box because.I forget a lot. To me agitation is like irritabiliy plus anger, so it is best for me to wait until it has passed, and it has now. I do think it was med. Related as there really weren't any precipitating factors. Thanks for you reply!

Thanks so much Echoes. It is hard to wind down, and by the time you do, it is time to go back. Take care.

I get agitated if I can't talk to myself out loud.
My greatest source of agitation is usually when I cant break free from triggers and I feel like a failure.
