I'm supposed to be writing something law related, but instead am reading poetry.

Wanted to share my favorite Blake quote (for today, right this minute anyway -- I have a lot of "favorite" Blake quotes): "Always be ready to speak your mind, and a base man will avoid you."

It is interesting to see in which poets and authors each of us finds solace or meaning.

My favorite dog of all time was a Belgian Shepherd!!

I find three of the belgian breeds to be interesting (not a huge fan of the Laekenois looks). A little independent for some, but I like the herding breeds. I find aussies and border collies to be a bit too hyper for me.

I like Percy Shelley, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Sara Teasdale and Vachel Lindsay among others such as Frost and EE cummings.

My favorite poet is Robert Frost. My current favorite of his is from Desert Places -

"They cannot scare me with their empty spaces
Between stars - on stars where no human race is.
I have it in me so much nearer home
to scare myself with my own desert places."

Oh! This gives me chills every time I read it. The man was a poetic genius.

I usually quote Stephen Crane or Lewis Carroll for poetry.

I have to admit - whenever someone quotes Blake - I think of Bull Durham and the Susan Sarandon Character.
Particularly the exchange with Costner's character

Okay, I might indulge you in the hug thing. But absolutely no cheek pinching. It is forbidden.

The 15 minute mini-session with t this morning was really good actually. I was afraid it was going to feel like a 'why bother' kind of thing being so short but I must say, it felt good. I'm doing some really deep work right now and have felt the need to connect with her between sessions in the past month or so, but didn't want or need 2 full sessions a week, so this is going to work well I think for the time being.
