Carry on then, SD likes Polka! I'll wait for the "later" crowd!

If Wiki does not check in tonight for the anniversary, I will be seriously worried.

ETA: ignore my random anxious thoughts... typed the thought that popped in my head

I loved playing the New World Symphony and one of my favorite pieces, although I did not have a good part, is Procession of Nobles.
I remember the Holst and Vaughn Williams the most. A rousing rendition of Folk Song Suite or First Suite in E flat is always welcome.
Nothing says party like wind ensemble music.

I have never heard of either of these people/songs.

Most of the music I listen to was published before 1879. I listen to nothing recorded by pop/rock after 1986.
Thanks for this!

I have a huge collection of recorder and double reed music. I am in great demand for dj services amongst a certain population.
Thanks for this!

Actually it is the music major nerdy types. Age is not the deciding factor here.

I apologize, they may not be your target audience, but they definitely would be interested in your services!

Now Lola...don't generalize... my mom is 80 and she only likes music that you either Jitter Bug to or the singer was smooth like Nat King Cole...

I actually do like big band music and ragtime. The Andrews Sisters and Rosemary Clooney (now the elderly will be all with me).

Who is generalizing? All I am saying is a large portion of old people, who also enjoy old victorian music. Like my first grade PE teacher.... just sayin

The classical music (double reed concertos sort of stuff) is not necessarily and elderly thing. Some of those guys really hate classical music, just like everybody else who may or may not like it. Classical music loving/hating is not an age thing. My dad won't listen to most of the music I like - particularly the early/Renaissance music. And gregorian chant makes him down right hostile.

Gregorian chant is only to be used for good, not harassment purposes.
Thanks for this!
