I am SO happy that she is going to try to read a little bit of your writing! That is a huge step for her given that she has always been so rigid about it (to your detriment), and I am so glad she is finally being flexible about that boundary.
This is a great compromise from her, and hopefully it will allow you to 'tell' her a little bit more about what goes on for you.
