My T doesn't accept insurance so I pay $240 for 45 minutes.

$170 for 50-55 minutes. She doesn't take insurance but I submit it myself. Luckily, my insurance pays 80%.

$125 for T#1 I originally started with and he never suggested a sliding scale. I have to cut down to every other week because of financial issues plus his style/technique has only helped me to a point. T#2 $15 co-pay and he accepts what my insurance pays him. They pay him crap. I think with my co-pay and what insurance gives him he is only getting $65 per session and he deserves so much more. I feel like I should be tipping him because he is the one bringing me into recovery. Then T#1 life coaching skills can serve me better.

Each session is approximately US$45, or £30. But when I've paid a total of approximately US$170/£110, I hit the maximum yearly healthcare fee for my county, and the rest of the year I don't pay anything, for any kind of healthcare. This is because although my T is in semi-private practice, he is still connected to the healthcare system - Ts in practices outside the system are not covered, and with my exT I paid more than twice as much per session.

I live in New Zealand and pay 150 dollars an hour. She is a Clinical Psychologist (Dr). No medical insurance covers mental health issues, so pay it myself.
