Those little insights or big revelations where everything becomes clear and you wonder why you haven't seen or noticed these things before.
Since starting therapy two and a half years ago, things that made no sense have suddenly began to make sense for example my behavior and why this break up had such a deep impact on me and I think that therapy has been a lifesaver for me and if I hadn't of learned about myself I would not have been here today.
Anyway, I just wanted to say I love these a ha moments and I hope that many of you have experienced them or will experience them in your therapy.
I now understand why a therapists lets you ramble on and figure things out by yourself.
Thanks for this!

Certainly I will try to explain
Well they do not interrupt us when they know exactly what we should be doing or not doing. They let us talk about the same things over and over again until we process them in our own heads and whilst saying something out loud something clicks and we realize what we should be doing or changing for our own good. I am not sure if that is being clear but it is clear in my mind, sorry if it is not understandable
Thanks for this!

I think I know what you mean... I tell my t all the time that I am so thankful for her patience with me, while I figure things out on my own, I'm sure there have been many times she's wanted to just jump up and shout "for heaven's sake Art, THIS!" but she doesn't, she lets me work it out for myself, which in my case anyway makes it stick SO much more than if she were to just tell me.

I totally get what you mean. I love when my therapist facilitates my own thinking, as i think of it. She lets me work it out on my own, just being there to listen while i think things outloud... I think thats what you mean?
