LC - why did you decide to quit him altogether? Was he incapable of being useful or was it because of him wanting to get paid or some other thing?

Hi Murray, listening to 10,000 maniacs live unplugged. Seem to remember you like the song These are Days. Good stuff.

Just got a copy of Cain's [I]The Postman Always Rings Twice. /I] I'll have to finish what I'm reading and get on it. I have read the first couple of chapters and it seems to be something you don't want to put down. Anybody read it?

My absolute favorite (probably ever) is Deadmau5 - Strobe Its an amazing, engrossing, engaging piece of music... with headphones much of it actually feels a little binaural, like specific EMDR music. |

Btw Ike, you are inspiring me to pull out my favorite Vonnegut books. It's been a while since I've read them. Thanks.

Mapleton, Very hard question. I can usually find a Grateful Dead tune that fits whatever mood I'm in. But I seem to go in spurts. Lately, i have been listening to
Thelonius Monk and John Coltrane Live at Carnegie Hall. And I've been listening to Art Pepper also. Jazz sax player. How about you?

Murray, Vonnegut was one of the first authors I tried to read his entire oeuvre. I started in high school and other than periodically reading Slaughterhouse Five, I haven't revisited. I didn't think he would hold up to adult rereading. Boy, was I wrong, not only have I matured, Vonnegut seems to have also.

Jazz wise? It's more new school than old school, but I'm a huge fan of Koop
Check out their "Waltz 4 Koop" or "Tonight" A lot of progressive trance is great. Tiesto's "In Search of Sunrise, Vol. 3- Panama" An outstanding seamless album 'Mindcircus (Gabriel & Dresden)' is especially good. Deadmau5 is doing some great work in the way of progressive house (with an occasional foray into dubstep.) A lot to like in "4x4=12", especially 'Some Chords' and "Lack of a Better Name", as I mentioned before, has the flawless piece 'Strobe'. Semi-Old School? I connect so strongly with Better than Ezra's "How does your garden grow?" album. "Live Again" is discordantly awesome. Even Older School? Can't beat the Goldberg variations |

Mapleton, you make me feel like a fossil. I do like Better than Ezra. I was reading Hemingway's book A Moveable Feast , and came across the quote "certainly better than Ezra learning to play the bassoon." I knew this had to be the motivation behind the band's name, even if they never will admit to it.

I thought Better than Ezra was one of those new bands. To see them characterized as semi-old school makes me want to go to bed. It is getting late.

So I am astounded by my soon-to-be(although not soon enough by a long shot)-ex-in-laws. For some reason they just cant seem to leave me the f*** alone! They filed a new court order against me and are causing me even more trouble. Looks like they are going to drag this on forever and I cant keep paying my attorney to deal with this stuff. I've been separated for over 2 1/2 years at this point and ex-to-be has been in prison for well over a year. Obviously I'm not changing my mind. so why cant they just let me go and end this already?

what is the court order about? the business? Where they part owners too? Otherwise, why do they have the right to file a court order against you?
ETA: obviously you don't need to respond...these are just my uneducated thoughts... |

Don't feel so bad. A friend introduced me to something new a few years ago, otherwise the autistic part of my brain would probably be refusing to accept any music I didn't hear while I was growing up. |

No, that's closed already. Just messing with me in any way they can. They have power of attorney so like to push around their weight. I suspect that they are "punishing" me for no longer responding to their calls and emails.
