Welcome all to the New couch. It moves quickly. Don't be offended if your post receives little attention. Just keep posting. Try not to be too harsh, we've all been through too much of that.

A wise word from Stopdog, an inebriated message to your T rarely turns out well.

I'll need some help with the decorations. I am afflicted with the Y chromosome.

I've never posted on the couch thread- is there a wrong way to do this?

So, I emailed my t at 4 am saying I was ready to unburden this big thing that we've been chipping away at (trauma work) and requested a double session to share. He replied very soon after and was excited that I am willing to emotionally go there. I had big plans to write and write and bring it in---and now of course, I am doodling stars and hearts and wondering what the hell was I thinking?

((( Lola ))) - I'm worried about you.

((( Murray ))) - GAH! Your ex-in-laws sound like real pieces of work. They need to move on with their lives and leave you the heck alone!

I didn't get much done today. *sigh* Scrubbed the kitchen/dining room floors, cleaned off counters, vacuumed....that's about it. Once I found out that my aunt and cousin weren't planning to come over tomorrow, I slacked. I took a 2 hour nap today which felt good.

My daughter is going to my sister's tomorrow with my mom, aunt and cousin. So, I will have a kid-free day. I am going to be on-call for work - but my plan is to get loads of housework done. Oh, and I talked to my neighbor and we're going to talk about setting a date for a multi-family yard sale. Yippee!

There's no wrong way on the couch. It's just basically a chat area where we talk about serious things, fun things, day to day stuff, etc.

Good for you for emailing T in order to hold yourself accountable. I have a tendency to take steps forward - then freeze - then regress. It's a pattern I'm trying to get out of. I had a few important things I wanted to talk to T about - unburdening, I suppose - and I ended up backing out. Ugh. I hope you're able to follow through!

A couch wouldn't be a couch without you, BPA.

I give up! My attempts to post a pic of a couch seem to upset the system. You'll just have to imagine what it looked like.

It's that time....and I am craving junk food. Brownies, actually. Warm, homemade, gooey fudge brownies. But I don't have any handy and it's close to midnight here. What on earth am I going to do about this major problem????

UGH. Gonna have to raid the kitchen cabinets to see if I can find something to quench this craving.

Not quite as dramatic as that. Just had to fin d OP>
*shock* *horror* My T has changed his room and I'm reeling. I can't believe I've had such a strong emotional reaction to a change of furniture and its position. Lucky he warned me before i entered.
Before he used to have 2 client chairs on the wall with the door, I always sat in one particular chair because it was near the door and he sat opposite it. Now he just has 1 client chair IN THE CORNER! He sits diagonally across from the chair so i now have to walk PAST him to get to the door. Walking past anyone causes me anxiety but being in an enclosed space just amplifies it.

Also the chair is too comfortable, I don't really want to be too comfortable in that room.

Also on the way out he said "How do you like the new chairs?" I said "Awful" he replied "Good" Maybe i should have been polite and say something nice but i didn't.
