There are people on here I am FB friends with and if they lived closer I would totally hang out with. One person in particular I unintentionally hurt and it haunts me everyday. I think the people on the boards, particularyly those on the couch I have grown to know well, are truly good people and we have all been through so much crap in our lives.... we understand each other. If your ever in Fort Worth....look me up I LOVE PEOPLE!

I'm just saying if they did a blind study... a group of people met and made relationships in an online forum but could not give any personal descriptions of themselves.. then they were all told they were going to a conference with strangers... so they didn't know it was people from the online forum... would they even pick the same people to talk to that they are actually friends with online?

Maybe you are right healed... maybe they would gravitate to the the personalities that they are attracted to? or would they gravitate to the visual that they are attracted to or used to or is most like them?

RTS.... what characteristics are you referring too? Its not like we are gonna date each other, my friends are all different kinds of people and I like it that way. I realize I may be the exception.... I'm crazy like that.

I mean heck, If Wiki would divulge who she was to me, Id fly up there and kick that pizza eatin tricks arse! Because I do LOVE her just like I would love any IRL friend of mine!

If someone says one thing and then later says the opposite, I cannot understand why others on this forum would just go, oh okay, about both statements. It's not just this case. It has happened several times, and in at least two of those cases, I was really very gentle about saying, 'hey, you said this before and both cannot be true."

I know it's triggering my own stuff. People saying one thing and then later claiming they said the opposite or never said the thing at all and everyone just swallowing the lies without comment. The abuse thing obviously triggers my stuff. I need to just stop, but no one else was pointing out the changes in the story being told.

Anyway its just hypothetical... its just that people have biases/ form opinions of people in the first minutes of seeing them... they don't even have to talk to a person.

So without anyone opening their mouths (accents would give people away) Would we say recognise Stopdog, or MKAC, or differentiate between them. I just feel based on what little i know of people I would not visually recognise them, but I have a certain view of professional people say and would chose based on that perception.

Yeah, once we opened our mouths, everyone would recognize me. I'd be the one telling everyone **** they don't want to hear.

To me, the changes in the story were not the point of the posting. I don't think it helps a person to have those pointed out when they are already upset, but for some people I suppose it is possible. I don't see it as "swallowing the lies." But we all do what we feel is best, I hope, and we don't all have the same idea about what best is nor are we upset by the same things.

I know that my very close friend and I would never be friends if we hadn't met online first. We are very, very different. First off, I can't imagine where we would have met. Next, if we went by appearances, I can't imagine we'd be drawn to each other. But, we really are alike in some very non-obvious ways. While we implement them very differently, we have similar values.

We both feel like no one else "gets" us like the other does. And very few people get "us."

Lola... its like a guy at work (we are a bunch of accountants) was talking about an interviewing training he went to and he said even if the person has a tatoo on their face I can't allow that to affect my opinion or judgement of that person's ability to do the job... and he said how would I do that?

Its the same as why do lawyers wear suits to court? if MKAC showed up in jeans and boots would she be treated the same as when she shows up in business attire?

There are all kinds of visual biases people have...from the color of your skin, hair, tall, short, thin, fat, young, old, tatoos, piercings, clothes styles, car you drive, etc...

Up here where I live the person who looks most like a hobo is probably a millionaire and the one in Gucci is just a try-hard. I'm not talking clothing I'm talking attitude and bearing.

I'm saying visual biases exist... I wasn't saying everyone has them... some do and some don't...

I used to have some biases and didn't realize it ... learned alot from the couch...

So, I am getting to the point with T.. That I feel like a burden, that I am taking too much of my ts time, or that I am taking advantage.

After trying to get all the details ironed out about going to the site of the rape, how they will bill, how much I will pay, who is the other T going. And.. the fact that I have gone from like 40min sessions to an hour long sessions (getting billed for it) and the fact that I am pretty sure we went twenty to thirty minutes over my last appointment.. I feel like I need too much. This is a yucky feeling!

Is it dangerous going to a laundromat where RTS lives. Just thinking of a story a fried told of her time in NY and she didn't want to use the motel laundry service so went in search of one.
