I see my T same day/time every week. At the beginning, he told me that it could be my time - just for me - as long as I want it. It has been a very important part of the t process for me and I'm very thankful for it

Once a week at a set time.
My T said that a regular time was important to make therapy feel safe and reliable, and to allow me to be prepared for and recover from each session. |

Yes...we meet every Tuesday at the same time. My T knows how important consistency is to me. When I first started with her back in January my sessions changed days every so often but because I let her know that I need a routine with my therapy we were able to work out a day and time that works for us both.

Yes I do though I'm not quite sure I'm glad about it.
I would like him being more flexible. If we can't meet one week on "my" day and time, then we simply miss the session, even if I am in crisis. Well, that is not very nice, I've missed tons of crucial sessions(when a family member died, when *I* nearly died etc...) with very very bad consequences...

I do, but can we both rearrange sometimes. I know my friend started seeing my T and asked for my slot and T told her no...

I prefer a regular time slot because it makes my life easier. I am busy, and I schedule months in advance. I also am really organized, and it just seems neat and tidy to me. The last t I saw for a few months was all over the place with the schedule, drove me nuts. I hate those little appt. cards too, such a waste of paper. (but yea, if the schedule changes sd is right, you need the appt cards in T's handwriting to prove yourself)

Yes. It's really important - it's part of the 'therapeutic frame'.

I have a regular time slot, which used to be every week, but then we moved to every other week. Lately, I've needed to go back to weekly, so my every other week slot is pre-set, but for the off week, I have to take whatever time T might have available. She's usually able to give me a time that will work with my schedule.
I like the consistency of knowing when my appointment will be week after week. It removes a source of anxiety, as changing schedules tend to make me anxious.

I would feel very unsettled if my timeslot wasn't definitely mine.
My T had to rearrange once and he let me know why. He said he didn't want me to think he was seeing another client in my slot. |

I have a regular time slot. But on occasion T will forget to put my name in the book and someone else gets my slot. Always sort of disconcerting, like "after 4 years you forget that I see you then?" I never make a fuss about it but it does sometimes sting a bit when I realize that he has forgotten that that is my spot.

I prefer a consistent day each week, but sometimes it cannot be done. It has been a Wednesday for the last couple of sessions and I like that. Time varies a little, but it's usually after I'm done classes.
