Slow couch day!

Hi Healed.I'm here I just don't want to inflict my mood anyone. Hows things with H?

Isn't funny how you forget you're getting older? My reaction to JJ Cale dying at 74 years of age was, "He can't have been that old i remember..." Bur I forgot that was 30 or so years ago.

It has been a wild day here. Had an open house, lost a filling, and now I am at a concert. How is it possible that this many people still smoke? Even my inner nicotine fiend would rather have oxygen at this point.. And I quit in 2010 so the fiend is pretty deprived. Anyhow, waiting for Live to perform... Then Everclear.. Woo!

H and I were avoiding each other as best as possible for the last week.. Until tonight he came in the bedroom to watch an episode of ER with me. I got on him last night about the fact that he shows no interest in our relationship... How the hell am I supposed to know that I want to stay in a marriage where my H doesn't flirt with me, doesn't ever say lets go out on dates, doesn't initiate sex, etc.. So, maybe him spending time with me tonight was a step in the right direction. We have a lot to talk about in MC this week! Thanks for asking though!

Healed. I hope things work out for you and H. It's hard when the other party seems disinterested/distant.

And now the people have moved on to the other kind of smoke. The kind that makes Pbutton very paranoid and panicky. Nothing like Ativan out under the stars. ****ity ****. And live isn't even playing dolphins cry. Hmph.

I figure another 20 minutes and I'll have a contact buzz AND the Ativan will kick in. I will be sleeping in the grass. Probably singing in my sleep.

So odd. I'm watching one of my feral kittens sleeping in the "house" I have for them. He's sound asleep on his back with one front leg stretched full length up in the air. He must be comfortable. My mother told me she'd often find me sleeping in that position as a child, and I always thought it was so abnormal. But maybe it wasn't so weird after all!

One of my dogs sleeps on his back with his feet or a leg in the air. My cats don't seem to now that they are grown.

Pbutton - I have never heard of those bands.
Alas, I am old. (well, actually hurrah - it just usually doesn't come up until people refer to things like bands I never heard of)

Life doesn't get better than this: I bumped my head on the edge of the garden shed, I went inside to get a cold pack out of the freezer, the lid of freezer fell and hit me in the head and knocked me out for about 5 minutes. I love my life, sometimes. I'd get some painkillers for the headache but don't want to risk further injury.

Thank God you didn't fall in!

I was thinking what a great comedy skit it would been, worthy of The Goodies i think.

This is what I keep saying to my H when we go see Pearl Jam this fall.. I am preparing myself for the contact high!!

Sunny and clear today. I have some work to do from home, then I have the kid this afternoon. Then there is my Monday cleaning stuff...floors and windows.

Day 2 of my cleanse...

This morning's smoothie is a Banana Latte:

1 scoop vegan protein powder
1 cup almond milk
3/4 cup strong, black coffee
2 bananas, sliced
1 cup ice cubes

(I added some greek yogurt and honey to my daughter's half of the batch)
((she's not on a cleanse, it's just a good protein drink for her before school))

I have a laid back day planned today.. Going to make chocolate chip cookies with the kids, with EGGS!! We are doing our own little food challenge (with the doc's ok) to see if my son still reacts to baked in eggs! I am hoping that is another allergy that we can get rid of soon. Life would change drastically for him if he could have both dairy and eggs.. Is only remaining allergies would be peanuts and tree nuts and those are totally manageable!!

Also, I have a job interview today. It is a part time gig- Director of Youth Ministries at a local Presbyterian church. I haven't be talking about it a lot because my H things it is silly that I would interview for a job at a church I don't attend in a denomination I don't belong to. It can't hurt to go and find out more about the job. I got promoted to teacher for the school year but it is only a three day a week job.. It would be nice to have something to do on the other two days a week. Or maybe, I am trying to find more things to keep me out of my house. I don't know. I just miss working with youth!

Doesn't sound too bad!

I just had a (mild, slight) disappointment about something I'd hoped would happen tomorrow. Now I want to lie down and burst into tears. I guess I'm not completely mentally stable.

Good for you, healed, for interviewing for that job. I hope the interview goes well.
