Wow.
So cool.

I can't mention his name online until he leaves, per H's deal.

I would bet I have not heard of GG either. I barely know the names of any bands let alone the names of the people who play in them.

T said that I had him scared on Friday night.. Those words are sticking with me, and I am not sure what to do with them.

Maybe one way to see them is that in order for him to be scared ...He has to care about you... so maybe see them as comforting?

The neurologist had a cancelation, so I was able to see him today about my brain tumor and headaches.

He's not worried about the meningioma. He wants to look at the MRI images himself, but if he doesn't see anything concerning, we'll just do another MRI in six months to see if it's growing. He thinks the tumor is too small to be the cause of my headaches, so we're trying different migraine meds than I've been on.

So, good news! Thank for all your good thoughts and prayers.

OK, maybe that's not a fair question.

But I do find it interesting that you are willing to make compromises for your daughter that you are not willing to make for yourself. Not saying that either decision is wrong, but it's ... interesting.
Two reasons: (1) we were actually looking for a T to treat her in cooperation in D's doctor, so the clause about requiring a consent to talk to the doctor was not an issue for D. It would be an issue for me because my dr is local in our small town and I do not especially want him to know about my struggles with depression. (2) D really liked the T. I actually have much higher standards for my daughter than myself. However, the woman handed me the paperwork and took D in the other room and started talking to her. D indicated she like the T quite well and wanted to continue to see her. I told D about the issues I had with the paperwork, and she wanted to sign and continue to see the T.

Evening couch.

I typed out an entire response, then somehow it disappeared before I could hit post. So, I shall start again. I am typing it in a word processor this time and will copy and paste it into PC.

I had a good long day at work. All the teachers had a meeting for four hours in the morning, so I and the 4 other assistants sat and talked. Well...I listened as the others argued over religion and morals. I didn't want to get involved. I agreed and disagreed with all of them. After the meeting there was a lunch for the entire school staff. There was a ton of food. I was able to get seconds and thirds without anyone going without food and there was still plenty left over.

After lunch, I headed to my teacher's room to see if he needed any help. He said he didn't know what I could help him with because he has never had an assistant, in the past he was expected to handle everything on his own. I saw cleaner on the front table and that the desks looked “grimey”, so I asked him if he needed me to clean the desks. He said I could do whatever I wanted, so I wiped down the desks.

The he looked at the bulletin board in the room and said something along the lines that it was too girly for him and needed to go. He has mostly boys this year, so it needed to look like a guy. He goes on to say that he would do it but he is not good at things like that. He asked if I wanted to re-do it. I am not really that “artsy” either, but said I would think of something.

So, I went to the room in the school where the construction paper, paper cutter, and Ellison machines are. I decided on a black background. I had originally thought white, but then decided it would get dirty too easily and that kids could deface it by writing on it. Then I cut out letters for the school name and mascot in school colors. I cut out stars and longhorns in school colors. I cut out some red apples. And green letters for the teacher's name. I then took everything back to the room to construct the new bulletin board. I took down the pink paper with purple and light blue flowers with bees on them and put up the black background. I then stapled everything else up. It turned out pretty good. I was proud of myself. I didn't expect it to look that good. The teacher had to leave for an IEP meeting while I was making it. I finished before he got back, so I headed to my old teacher to see if she needed anymore help. She didn't, so I headed back to my new teacher's room. He was back. He told me the bulletin board looked awesome, but it was missing one thing. I asked him what. He said my name needed to be on it as well, since I am also in the room. That felt nice. I guess he sees me as an equal rather than an assistant. At least I won't be looked down on. So, I went back to the Ellison machine and cut out letters for me name and them went back and put them on the board. I think it looked better without my name, as I had to squeeze my name in after everything else was already up. But, if he want's my name on there, I will put my name on there. I will edit the pictures in a bit to block out the names and then post them if anyone wants to see it. I will post a pre my name and a post my name.

Well, I need to go catch up on the couch now. I'll make another post with the pictures soon. I will also post my input on what is going on on the couch once I catch up as well.

I've been thinking about what you said, Ready, and I am sorry your H is approaching this from such a selfish place. My H, to his credit, was trying to connect and help me feel loved. I can see where your situation is very different. I am sorry.

If you sometime wish to try to connect with him, though, I would second the idea of going out to do something that doesn't involve sharing thoughts or feelings. We started with going to a comedy club. H bought a package deal where we could go on several different occasions. It was fun even when we really weren't getting along. Laughing together really lowered our stress levels with each other.
