A few months ago I found out T has a dog, I really wanted to meet her. T offered to bring her next session. I'm very excited!

I have no experience with dogs but am doing my best to learn about them.

1. What should I wear? Should I bathe myself in dog biscuits before the session? I was going to wear a wedding gown, to marry the dog, but not sure if dogs like a sporty look or girly look.

2. How do I make the dog like me? I am sure I'll love T's dog so I hope the dog will like me back. I have zero experience with dogs but will try to be polite.

Thanks for letting me share this exciting news.

Are you serious? I can't really tell if you're teasing or really want info [the wedding dress thing is throwing me].

In case you're seriously asking for help:

LOL! I'm happy for you getting to meet the T's dog.

I have 3 of my own dogs, plus the occasional foster dog or two.

If your T is bringing the dog in, then I'm assuming it's people friendly. However, the BEST way to greet a new dog is to kneel down to it's level, next to the dog or off to the side just a little bit. Let the dog sniff you, and then gently pat the chest between the front legs, or scratch under the chin. The one thing you want to avoid is looming over the dog and patting on the top of the head. That's considered rude in doggie-world.

Thanks, My Kids Are Cool for the information. I guess I just wanted to share my excitement. I don't have a real wedding gown but am just fantasizing about wearing one to the session for fun.

Thanks BlessedRhiannon
, you must be an expert since you have 3 dogs! How cool! And you even have foster dogs. I appreciate your advice.

But you said you wanted to marry the dog.....

Are you serious or are you trolling?

Hi Wotchermuggle, Thanks, of course in real life, legally I can't marry a dog but in my fantasy and just for fun I wish I could marry the dog, the same way I want to marry my dear stuffed bear at home.

How exciting! The kiddie client after me brings her little dog sometimes, and t will stop me a little early to give me a chance to get my doggie kisses. Yesterday t and I were both singing way high up, "some day my prince will come" - the dog's name being prince, of course. If the kid and her mom could hear us, they probably thought we were both nuts! But it is so sweet of them to share the dog with me like that. It realy touched me yesterday. I didnt think you were trolling! You post a lot! Look in the" our pets" forum on this site, there is a recent posting about how to tell if youre a dog person.

When I was a kid, I married all my cats and all my dogs, so I totally understand where you're coming from. I would not suggest that you share the same wedding cake though. Dog food is gross.

Ha! You're hysterical! It's impossible that you have no experience with dogs. That is neat, though! I wish I could bring my dog to meet my T....
