I read all these posts (thank you!!) and have been thinking about the replies for a bit.

It is odd because I know, without a doubt, if I told my husband he would be nothing but supportive. Also, if I told him I didn't want to talk about it or request that he never ask questions, he would say, "ok, let me know if that changes" and he would not ask.

Really, I think the issue comes down to my not wanting anyone, even those closest to me, to know that I am struggling with some things that I can't solve on my own. My whole life I've been the organized, on-top of things, happy as can be person who has always been fairly successful in most things I've done. Most people probably don't know how much of the time I'm just faking it!

Since I pay all the bills and have a flexible work schedule, it would be easy to keep therapy sessions from him, but, I'm still going to give this more thought. With my wonderful ability to make decisions (yes, heavy sarcasm), I'm sure I'll more forward one way or another in the next year or so.

Thanks for this!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
