((( MKAC )))

Wow, things really came to a head. The good news is that you have a lot of power and choices here. I hope things settle down soon and that whatever happens is for your benefit and happiness.

Yeah, I wasn't happy about it at all. But it is what it is. I expressed my disappointment to her, so at least I didn't keep it inside.

She has two adult kids who are in their 30's...she's in her 50's and has a 13 year old son (as a now single mom). She admits that she's tired, worn and not in the 'kid place' anymore, even though I know she loves her son.

She has a tendency to invite us over to do kid things and then backing out of the kid activities, hoping that my daughter and her son would just go do their own thing. Like - kids, go away and entertain yourselves.

Tonight, it was building a bonfire out back, roasting hot dogs and making smores. Two other friends of ours were there, so the ladies were all drinking wine by the fire (except me - alcohol and I don't mix due to my migraines). By almost 9 PM, the food wasn't even started - so I got the ball rolling on that and made sure the kids got to do what we promised. Later, the kids went inside and rented a movie. My daughter had a great time, which is what matters most to me.

The movie finished at 2 AM - and we just got home. Feels good to be in from the cold.

It's midnight and I'm feeling much more optimistic. Either the Prozac has kicked in, or my mental faculties are back on line and I'm starting to think about technical details. Divide and conquer! Break the problem into pieces so small that their puny forms hold no fear!

Rationally, there was never anything to worry about. The trick is to get back to rationality.

Sorry guys I fell asleep.

Lola-I am beyond thrilled for you and W. I hope it continues to move in a positive direction.

MUE- Good for you for not holding in your disappointment. I'll have to learn sometime how to express mine in a productive way.

CE-I'm glad you have more clarity now. Is Prozac quick acting? I may need to get me some

Granite: come on out and play-we love you.

MKAC-hugs hugs hugs.

Hello SD, Healed, JaneC, Ike, BPA, RTS and everyone else. Sorry for those who didn't get an individual shout out-as I am just trying to get acclimated with jumping in more often after being gone.

H is gone for the day leading worship at another church a couple of hours away.. So, I am alone with the kids. I am tempted to not go to church, but h will be furious that I didn't bring the kids to church. So, I will go. Then, it is back home for lunch and Sunday afternoon naps.. Then, I must conquer laundry.. Cleaning, folding, putting away! Ahhhh!

Have a good Sunday all!

Does anybody get stuck on one word that T says during a sessions? I do frequently.. Last session he used the word oppositional. He was referring to me being that way when it comes to people suggesting or telling me what to do. It is not that it is not true.. I just keep on thinking about it.. I hate that, that is how T sees it. oppositional.. eww!

Healed...
I have the same goal as you....laundry!

I am one day away from having water that is drinkable and can wash clothes in (our well water filtration system broke so we are hooking up to city water) and then on wednesday we get the new dryer and dishwasher... Cant wait to be back to normal..

Although the laundromat did provide an escape

That sucks about your water! I am glad that you will be back to normal soon... and I think you are going to have to find a new outlet!

xT once told me I had problems with authority.. I had an instant flashback to being a teenager and walking to the kitchen to wash the dishes (we didnt have a dishwasher) and my dad calling from his recliner... RTS GO WASH THE DISHES... I refused to wash dishes for a month ...told them unless they paid me I wasnt doing them...

Yeah I guess I am a little oppositional
Thanks for this!

T sees it as oppositional.. I see it at watching out for the best interest of me.

One of the ways T sees me this way is when it comes to meds. He suggests them for now, my primary doc suggests them, etc.. I however, still have not gone back t them.. Because I know me and I might not thinking that meds are the best option for me now! Don't I know myself better than those people?

Healed at the end of the day yes you know yourself better than them..but I guess sometimes Ts know we need to hear the voice of reason. I won't go on meds either. But I finally won, and T stopped bugging me. At least for now. It was only after she stopped bugging me that I told her I would entertain the thought. She called me stubborn. lol.

Prozac is supposed to take a week to have effect, but in my experience it is faster than that.

I know.. T can be a bit more reasonable than me, lol! I am often irrational. It is something I am working on though. However irrational my gut reaction is.. I have to go with it!!
