Welcome to the couch.

This is just a place to chill. The couch moves fast, so if you aren't heard...just shout a little louder.

Word of warning from Stopdog...do not email your therapist while drunk, high, or under the influence of cool whip or any other mind altering substance.
Thanks for this!

Can we contact T under the influence of whipped cream? Cause cool whip and whipped cream are totally different...
Thanks for this!

RTS: I'm sorry you were hurt by your h's actions. But - yeah, but - I would assume he would eat more than your little son. And 16 meatballs would be enough for me and my nephew but no one else - we're kinda meatball maniacs. I had Thanksgiving dinner once with a gf's family - not Italian - and I was amazed at how little they ate and at how fast dinner was over. I was like seriously? That's Thanksgiving?? No wonder my gf looks like a freakin model. But meatballs are a special food. I hope you can do a redo of this dinner that makes a happy memory for everybody. My nephew says that his dad's meatballs only rate a 9 - they would rate a 10, but he says that at some point you get full and have to stop eating them - that is their only flaw. As you can see, nephew inherited his strange sense of humor from auntie hankster - I'm so proud! Mostly cuz it bugs my brother

RTS - Ouch. That must have been hurtful. I hope that at some point you will be able to address your feelings with H.

I survived the day.....between working an all-nighter while having a severe migraine, seeing my neurologist and getting a very painful and intense series of injections and trigger point acupuncture - getting 1-1/2 hours sleep and then heading to group T.....Stick a fork in me, I am done.

Group T was frustrating. Nothing was sparked for me, so I felt like it was a waste of time and $$. When I did chime in to give feedback about a heated exchange, I was cut off by the anger of one of the members in the exchange - and then lost my train of thought and my interest. I just didn't have enough energy to care very much. Oh well.

I am going to try to get to sleep soon. I have 2 assignments tomorrow at a college...and then on Thursday, I have 2 assignments, then a T session and then another assignment. Hoping this migraine and soreness subsides so I can tackle life.

Oh....and one of my assignments on Thursday is at the behavioral health center where I applied for that job recently. I haven't heard back. The agency said that they asked for me specifically - and I told them I couldn't do it because I had to be at another assignment an hour prior in a town about a 1/2 hour or so away. They ended up changing the time of their meeting to accommodate having me get there....I feel so cared for there.

I wonder if I'll get the opportunity to talk to the director again about the position, now that she has my resume and hopefully talked to the CEO about the requirements. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Goodnight, couch peeps!

Isn't interesting mue? The fact that we both should really be sleeping right now and we are both trying to avoid stuff and sleep with be the best way to avoiding this crap! LOL

Yep....and knowing that before being able to fall asleep, I start ruminating about stuff....and then ultimately end up having flashbacks and nightmares at night....and then wake up in all sorts of pain...just doesn't sound appealing. But I must....after I finish this bowl of ice cream.

It is the nature of cats to throw up on the carpet. You can't really blame them. They are what they are.

You can either clean up the mess or live without cats.

And so it is with Madame T.

I've been in my house less than a month and I have already run afoul of the HOA. We got a letter introducing us to the community, with code to the keypad, two arm bands for the pool(not included in envelope though mentioned in the letter), and a reminder that all improvements must be approved in advance by the board. You know things like fences, swimming pools, satellite dishes. Wait, did you say satellite dish? Uh-oh, I already have one of those-got it the third or fourth day. Should I confess or wait until they send me a nasty note?

I saw in the paper that someone has figured out that women confide in their hairdressers. They therefore propose that hairdressers be given some counselling training.

You disapprove? Or has it already been done?

We don't have eight balls in our country. We can only count up to five.

I seem to remember reading something in the paper a few years ago. But you know journalists they'd rehash WWI to fill in a slow news day.
Thanks for this!

Morning growlycat.

I am trying to catch a bit of pc before heading off for the day. I have to drop my daughter off at school, and then I'm at the clinic for a few hours. Haircut, home, and then a big event tonight. I made a crapload of eggplant parm to bring, I somehow have to figure out how I am going to bake it. I am considering asking my mother to throw it in for me. It's a huge deal for me to be vulnerable enough with her to ever ask her for anything.
