CE...I rarely read fiction, so I read a lot about people's lives. If they lived a horrid life, then I'll read their story. It puts things into perspective for me, and I enjoy reading about the resiliency of the human spirit. With all the books and movies about Southie, this particular work is the only really accurate account of the 70's in Southie.

To me it's not an "I grew up in pain a poverty" book, it's an "I am a survivor" book.

Wiki, I read fiction almost exclusively. I just started Nightingales Song about the principals in the Iran- Contra affair and some rather vague Vietnam inferences. Very interesting. I am so far very impressed with John McCain(although I am not a big fan), and really dislike Oliver North(hit that one on the head).

Isn't solitude heavenly? After spending 9 working hours with people, I need some alone time.

Hi BPA, how're things with the new roomie? Is she still cleaning obsessively? Are things better with your oldest?

Hi Ike. Roomie has stopped cleaning obsessively but now we are at odds over the curtains. I like the curtains in the house open or else I feel trapped plus i think sunlight is wonderful. She likes to keep them shut for privacy.

BPA...the phone consult was good. I asked some hard questions and he answered very honestly even if the response may have been one that might have made me say... ummm not going to go to you... so I really appreciated that...

Has anybody read "The Book Thief." It has come highly recommended but I notice it's a young adult book.

I'm glad he answered honestly. It makes the choice a little bit easier, yes? or no? Still some doubt?

I quite frequently read young adult books. Garth Nix writes good ones. I like The Old Kingdom series. He's an Aust writer.

I'll let you know if I finish it. But if I start it, it would have to be Gosh-awful for me not to finish. I'm hung up on this completion thing.

I don't have that compulsion with books. Just with things i start and end up not completing.

Things have been really tough for me. The good news is that I really do enjoy the people I work with now. I had to adjust to being around people all the time, but I really like all of the people in the office.

I was following along with you guys, and read your thread on your session. I really liked how you described your T really smiling at you.

Thanks MKAC It really felt like a reward for actually saying something I really needed to get out. Half the time i feel like I'm wasting his time, my time, my money to sit there and twitter on about "unimportant" things. He doesn't smile very very much but this smile said something.
