I want to call my therapist so bad. She told me that I could call over winter vacation if I need to but it's not an emergency and I don't want to bother her. She never said it had to be an emergency. Maybe I could email her first. I just want to talk to her so bad. But I'll be a crying mess over the phone. If I call her it won't be at least until next week probably. Also the house has to be empty so people don't here me crying. Do you think I should call her or email her? Or neither? Or both?

Email first, ask if you can call when you want to (Whether that's today or sometime next week)

I know all Therapists are different, but the way mine put it is to not hesitate to call/text if needed. She said if she is busy or cannot answer, she won't, and she will respond later. I think she knew if she didn't reassure me of that I would never call even though it's clear I need extra support. You can always email her, tell her about your hesitation, and she will probably give you some sort of guidelines or reassure you it's ok. ![]() -Hope
