My boss let me leave work early and I've been sitting in my car in front of my T's office for 45 minutes, and still have to wait 40 minutes before group starts. I'm freaking out so badly about giving her a letter after group that I want to drink. But if I drink I won't even be allowed in. I try to keep busy on my phone but it's getting harder.... Sorry for rambling... I'm trying to calm down any way I know

Maybe you can download a stupid game for your phone? Or call someone just to keep you busy... Or go for a walk? I believe that you can manage without drinking... Maybe just write here something more about your fears? Just 35 minutes more... you can do it...

I know I can and will do it. I'm playing different games already but have no one to call. And it's raining so I don't feel like walking

Sometimes it helps for me if I read in internet articles/posts/interviews/forums similar to my problem/fear, it keeps me busy, or maybe you can watch online one episode of any tv series?

Is there a place in the building where you are going where there are snack machines or public lobby? M T's office is in a professional building but they have an area with vending machines that is open to all offices in the building. There are several tables and usually some magazines around. I have used it often

Thanks all. Group went very well, giving the letters was soo scary. T immediately understood there was something huge in them and asked if I wanted an earlier session and if I was ok. Told her the worst was over, there's no need to worry and it can wait until next week... I'm relieved I gave them, but scared about her reaction when she reads them...

Sounds like just giving the letters was a safe transport for your feelings and helped you. I use to do that, write about the overwhelming stuff and give it to my T to contain for me. I still remember, I had a broken piece of memorabilia I did not know what to do with, I could not throw it away but it was broken/unusable. I gave it to T to deal with and that worked well

Yeah once I gave them I felt much better, but now I'm shaking again. Wondering if she read them, what she thinks and so on...
