Why wouldn't T pass the tissues....
Other time I have had tears (wouldn't call it crying, I try to avoid this so much) T has passed me the tissues. Last week first time seeing T since break we talked about something and I felt myself about to cry, so I do what I do to stop it and T seemed to watch me with interest. Move on to another bit and the tears came even though I was trying not to. I was trying to stop and ignore it at the same time. Again T sat there and just watched with interest, no offer of the tissues. Does T want me to cry? I don't know. Any ideas? |

Maybe she worried she'd interrupt your process by moving to get the tissues. Tears are a good thing she probably wanted you to stay in the moment.

Thanks Asia, maybe that's what she was going for. I don't know how to cry in front of others, I wish I could, I know T cares and would be there.

Yeah, a lot of T's don't because they don't want it to be interpreted as "please stop crying so we can do real work". I know mine keeps hers on the bookshelf next to the client's spot on the couch, and far away from her. If I feel like I need them, I could reach over and grab them myself.
