RTS...I'm happy for you!

Granite...I'd also like to know what happened.

RT...I hate cleaning too.

MKAC...hello, nice to see you. Hope you are well.

Everyone else...hello!

Well, H and I are supposed to walk today, but it's raining. I told him we can walk at the mall. However, he appears to be falling asleep, so we'll see. I'm in the process of deep cleaning the house and I have a school assignment due tomorrow night (and another on Sunday).

Have a great day!

I have actually had whooping cough, so the last week has been rough. Apparently the disease has made a big resurgence because of the anti-vaccination movement. When I get my tetanus booster next, the doctor said he would give the new combo vaccination that includes pertussis.

And my comment, BTW, really wasn't directed at you. I didn't feel that your previous comments were directed at me, because I have just been largely absent from the couch. I was simply sharing how I react to those kinds of things, in general. I do not think people always act in a manner that will inspire the result they desire, or always know how others feel about certain actions, so it was more of a generalized 'heads up' and an agreement with Wikid that others do respond that way. Perhaps if people know that others draw back in response to certain behaviors, it would give them an opportunity to change those behaviors. That's all I was offering.

I agree. Some posters are "friends" and some are "family". That's just the way it is.

Hey,

I've read about how a lot of you struggle with different things and I just wanted to let you know that I think you're all pretty awesome for not giving up. It's admirable.

Hang in there,

Frankly I hurt so bad just from the little gravitational challenges I have lost within the last few years that I was thinking - I don't know how football players move at all by the time they are 40. Or Evel Knievel who, at least for awhile, held the Gunniess World Record for the most broken bones.

I'm sorry your T will be away again, granite.
I am really not brave. On the contrary I'm a huge huge coward who is afraid to tell people when they hurt me because I'm frightened that they'll get angry or sad or upset. And I'm afraid to tell H anything about what I think or feel because... I don't even know why.

oh mast i think you are incredibly brave i really do especially because you are so afraid if that makes any sense at all to you . with all this you are here still fighting. working and feeling . the UN me lol. im sorry things are so hard. i get the not wanting to upset people around you . i really don't know how to not care about doing that as it is a huge fear of mine also. i just seem to manage to do it anyway because when i open my mouth stupid things start to come out . but i am actually working on this with my T and when i went away i did try some of the things she suggested .so it isn't a complete flop

I told my Psychiatrist that she can call my parents some time in the future to talk about my medication, and she tries calling literally right after I got home, I ended up just telling her that they were unavailable when it reality they both were (she can't wait a little while before trying to call).

So you caught whooping cough even though you were vaccinated in the past? I knew it was making a comeback, but never thought that adults needed boosters.

It appeared directed at me, but my original comments had nothing to do with you because you don't talk to me anyway. What was occurring is (in hindsight) indicative of a more pervasive issue, that PC is not always "safe". I'm not the only one to comment on the hesitancy of others.

Other than my outburst, I don't know of anything I've said that would push others away, so I don't see where I would need to modify my behavior. I wouldn't anyway. I am who I am and deal with the consequences.

Don't ever worry about overstepping your bounds. All have the right to say what they want to say. I hate that PC has changed; however, I'm realizing that this is a community of hurting people. Hurting people sometimes hurt other people no matter their intentions. It is ludicrous to think that spats and disagreements aren't going to happen.

OK, NOW I have a problem. NO ONE (none, zip, zilch) has told you to cower in fear, run away, hide or that you have no worth. You are trying to call out someone who doesn't deserve being called out. I am guessing you are talking to MKAC here (because of further posts) and it comes across more as you bullying her. Which sucks, because she barely posts anymore because people keep jumping on her every post. Plus, it's ridiculous because she is a bright, intelligent, caring person who is full of good advice.

I have heard of this re-occurrence, scary. I am on the fence with the whole immunization thing. I read so much about it, and I am just thankful that I am past having kids that young and don't have to make a decision.

Wow, that was quick! I'd never let my pdoc talk with anyone unless I am in on the conversation as well.

Yea, they are starting to recommend adults getting boosters on almost everything...Chicken Pox, MMR, Pertussis...etc. Crazy, huh?

Today I got a GREEN SHIRT!

Let me explain. Volunteers at the Wildlife Clinic wear navy blue shirts. A few select volunteers who have been there for years wear green shirts. I've been there a while doing accounting for them, but I've only been hands on with animals for a year. I just went thru a triage course, and now I work triage on my shifts and deal with incoming animals. Today they gave me a green shirt, and it felt like a big promotion. I am thrilled.

If I do let her talk to them, then I will try to have it when I am there as well to sort of monitor things, although I guess they could always been talking when I'm not around.

Hi...I'm glad your session went well and that you are looking forward to your next one. Do you always see your T every other week? I used to see T2 on that same time frame. Sometimes it was helpful and sometimes it felt like too much time between sessions.
