I am in absolute panic mode as today my T said he was going on leave in April and when he comes back he'll be working Thurs and Fri every week. I suppose at least its regular instead of 1 1/2 days one week and 1/2 day the next. Still he;s going on leave without me

((bpa)) How long will he be away for?

My T told me last week that he's taking Easter week off, but that was actually good news since I'd expected him to be away the week after Easter, and that would have been worse for me.

Only 2 weeks but in reality it will be more like 3 weeks considering he's coming back on a Thurs.

Sorry to hear about your dad, Jersey. I really hope things turn out OK!

-----------------

I'm off to my therapist in a few minutes. Haven't seen him in two weeks now and last time he said we would talk about the changing therapist process today. Hope it all goes well.

Also, black bean ones sound so nutritious! I bet the chickpea flour will work great. More legumes. Going to be good for the digestion too I suppose.
Marijuana food prod should never be ingested without some investigation and thought. The high usually is more intense and lasts for a longer duration than smoke. Hi everyone...
A special thanks to those of you who were so supportive. I really appreciate that.

We received a white blanket of snow last night. Not enough to shovel, but enough to cause trouble getting up and down my very steep driveway.

(((Jerz))) thinking of you, I really hope it turns out well.
Granite - I hope your son arrives safely.
Lola - good to see you
BPA - I'm sorry that your t will be away for so long.

I find several disney films scary. Bambi's mom dying. Aladdin has this horrible serpent/demon scene at the end. Princess and the Frog has some creepy dead stuff in it. They can be very scary. I remember my husband purchased The Brave Little Toaster on vhs for my son when he was little. My H loved it, my son had nightmares (as did I, it's awful!) But Nightmare Before Christmas didn't faze any of us.

Jersey, I hope your father recovers quickly. Thinking of you.

My mother used my reaction to Bambi's mother dying as an excuse to refuse to take us to a Disney movie ever again. Apparently I "made a scene" and embarrassed her by crying. I only saw the Disney classics after I had children of my own. I also found them somewhat dark, and was pretty surprised at them.

Sorry for writing again but I just wanted to let you know (I most likely won't tell anyone else) that I am now officially T-less. I no longer have a therapist. I'm getting referred to someone else but here's what really scares me: I have no idea when I'll get a new therapist. My therapist (well, ex-therapist I guess) said he didn't know that either. Scared I'll be forgotten. What do I do if I feel horribly low and have no one to talk to? Yeah, I'm anxious. Bit sad. Scared.

I'll shut up now.

EDIT: It's the right thing to do though (I hope). Getting referred to someone else I mean.

Thanks for the support. At this point he is still bleeding internally. They are going to go ahead and do a scope today and check his liver. Also waiting for MRI results. They may have seen a mass during a cat scan so they took an MRI to see more clearly what it is.

Waiting waiting waiting.

Somehow the snow held off (except for 1-2 inches which has already been cleared from the roads) and I will be able to have Therapy session today (I thought there was no way that I would be able to make it). Although I will say that assuming that session today would get canceled due to the weather does have me a little unprepared but I should be able to throw something together in the next 3 hours before I have session.

I think it is the right thing to do, too.

And hopefully, when you feel horribly low and have no one in RL, you can come here.
Thanks for this!

Yeah that might have been the heaviest scene in a Disney animated film but I do think that it was beneficial since it showed children that it is OK to give over the loss of a loved one.

It seems like ever since then though they have always gone with the happen ending where all of the main heroes all live happily ever after.

I'm sorry, but I remember being really disappointed in how bland and cutesy Bambi was, compared to the book, which I read many times as a kid (long before I saw the film).

In general, I think the Disney films that are not adaptations of books are my favourites. With the exception of some of the classics, I guess. I detest love stories, and Disney adds them everywhere. (Don't get me started on Hercules...)

Alice in Wonderland I do like. No love added there.
Thanks for this!

Interesting observation. Now that you mention it, i see i was always looking for the hookup, the matchup in wonderland. It was always lacking something to me. Thats how hard i had it drilled into me, you MUST get married. Unfortunately, my mother usually followed it up with, "but youre lucky, in america you can always get a divorce. As long as you dont have kids." I honestly dont know why shes so angry and disappointed in me - i followed her directions to the letter.

I think the movie that affected me the most was Lion King.
