He's solid. He's always there. He sets boundaries. He's a great listener. I'm finding it hard to remain impartial to my doctor and I wish he would just adopt me and at the same time I wish I could bring out an inappropriate side. Probably so I can prove he's like all other men in my life. I'm very confused and way to embarrassed to bring this up. Don't know what I'm looking for except to get it off my chest.

I think if we've not had someone in our life's that was honourable & trustworthy. Our reaction to it feels bigger than it really is.
The fact that you feel you need to test it is common amongst many in therapy/treatment.
It takes time to work through. But well worth it.
It's like a torch is being shone on our 'humanity'.
Thanks for this!

It's very normal, and the thing is, your only chance of working through it is to bring it up. It's scary to tell him, but it's important to do so as well.

HazelGirl's right, it's normal and bringing it up with him, while scary, is important and the only way to work through it.
Thanks for this!

I think that we have all felt things along those lines during Therapy before, a good Therapist will be able to help you get through it.
