Have you ever wondered that?
Where I go, there is a very sweet lady at the front, but her and I never discuss anything mental health related.
A while ago I was gone for a bit (psych hospitalized), and when I came back I started seeing my T twice a week. I wonder if they somehow just know or somehow instinctively figure out whats going on...?

I actively avoid therapists who have receptionists.

Ha, I think the same thing. I just started couples therapy in addition to seeing my therapist and pdoc in the same office so I sort of joke about how often I'm there. I actually admire how gracious she is to me not knowing if I'm a serial killer.

My T's secretary is wonderful. She's quite aware of my hospitalizations as I generally have her give the message of what is going on to pass on to my T. She's often the first I speak to when a crisis in our family occurs. She is kind and amazingly efficient and always respectful. We've gotten to know each other over the years and often chit chat about our kids' activities or our weekend plans. Great person.

She takes care of me, making sure I get scheduled conveniently, making sure my T doesn't forget to return my phone calls, etc.
Thanks for this!

They have receptionist at the place I am at now but I don't think much of it, at the place where I was at for 4 years they had one at the main office, which was where I always saw the Psychiatrist at, although for most of the time with the Therapist I saw her at another office that didn't have a receptionist.
