OMG, this game is making me nervous. No matter the outcome, it sure has been thrilling.

Thanks, SD. Alas, Kentucky won, 74-73. But this game certainly got my heart rate up!

I think i like the minor key of these songs. They are from my high school days. Of course i was too cool for glenn back then. I see he has alzheimers now, so sad.

The Badgers tried to ketchup, but they couldn't.

But back to the sauce--both Emeril's and Food.com's recipes are 5-star rated, and both include ketchup.

I sometimes listen to Glenn Campbell. Pat Summit has dementia too. (As much as I don't watch men's basketball - I have always followed the women's ncaa basketball)

Well, back in the old days, before fiber optics, there were telephone linemen. This guy is lonely for his girl, yet he's busy with his work, and he knows if the snow flies down south, the telephone lines will need repair. He daydreams about taking a vacation to be with his sweetie, but he knows he can't take time off from his job when the phone lines need fixing. That is why "the Wichita lineman is still on the line."

Hankster, I knew you were occupied with coleslaw making, so I googled it for you. After all, we are a tag team when it comes to these things.

So, who you gonna believe? Emeril, or Wikipedia?

ETA: Upon further review, the original, classic French remoulade does not contain ketchup. However, the New Orleans or southern style does.

I thought glenn campbell was talking to the girl on the phone and wichita lineman was eavesdropping. Paranoia anyone?

I read an article about Pat Summit several years ago. I don't recall the specifics now, but I remember that I came away from that with a deep admiration for her.

Sad to hear this, Mastodon. PC won't be the same without you. I haven't been around that much lately myself and I understand that you might need a break. I really hope you find the peace you're looking for and that you'll feel better soon. Take care, ok?

I just need to vent here. My T is away on leave and while he's away I have to have a procedure. No-one has mentioned cancer but the doctors at the hospital wouldn't give me my blood results after they learned I was a pathology tech and nurse. But given the fact that I was squeezed into see a specialist the same week I was discharged and booked in for surgery within a month says something to me as the waiting lists at the local hosptial run into months. I want to think I'm worrying for nothing and this is what i do I imagine the absolutely worst possible scenario and i am plesantly surprised when things turn out alright. I hope this is what is going to happen this time. Just needed to get this out of m head.

Just wanted to say that I always thought Hanksters interpretation of the Glenn Campbell was right. But I don't find that paranoid as my mother used to work at the local exchange and said she regularly eavesdropped on conversations.
Thanks for this!

I would be so sad to see you go! As SD said, if you do decide to stop hanging out here I hope you will at least check in. You've been a tremendous support whether it has been advice or just acknowledging threads and posts so just wanted to let you know it has been greatly appreciated!

I understand this feeling though and I believe it is due to something very similar.

That is freaking hilarious. We lived right by the exchange too! We were near the top of one block, and it was at the top of the next block! I wonder if that influenced our interpretation?

Today I was talking to a friend who goes to the same P'doc as I do. She told me so much about lots of things. Now I feel I can't talk to my P'doc about anything because I think he will just break into pieces.

I understand, Mast. But I hope you don't go for long as you will be very much missed here. You have given support and encouragement to so many and I have always really enjoyed reading your updates and take on things. I really mean that and you definitely do not whine. Definitely not. Sending you all best wishes. hug:
