I am inspired by can't explains nicknames for his t's. They always make me laugh!
I call my ex t wolfie because of her hair and my first t was called suko. I don't know if anyone is familiar with polish but suko is a name given to not so nice girls, her name began with an s, so it went well together!
What are your nicknames for your therapists?

Ooh, fun thread. I have a few.

Pollyana when she's being unrealistically optimistic or cheery
Mary Poppins when I'm really impressed ("Practically perfect in every way")
Fairy Godmother for the way she pops in and out of my life with gifts of wisdom, humor, etc.

Those are the lighthearted ones.
Thanks for this!

In my mind, I think of my T by one of two or three diminutives of his first name.
I don't have other nicknames for him.

Ha interesting topic

I call him in a word in my language but it has different meaning who knows just two people without me. If I translate this word it's Guide but it doesn't mean guide. I don't know how to explain this word meaning, I just can't say it in words.
When I talk to my best friend I call him in his name.
Also I say just 'doctor'.

I don't have a nickname for my t. I call her by her first name and that's how I think of her. Sorry, I know that's boring! I didn't have nicknames for my other Ts either.

Mine is short, older and hairy. When I like him, I call him my little Jewish teddy bear. When I don't, and to his face, I only call him by his last name. No first name - and I never use the Dr. (authority issues much?).

I don't have a specific nickname for my T, but I do have a euphemism for "therapist", a common noun that means something completely different in normal speech, which I use with two of my friends. So I can mention off-handedly that "I saw my visitor today" (if the word was visitor, which it isn't), or ask the friend who is also in therapy "Have you talked to your visitor recently?" - and when you're out in public, that is really useful. Because a word like "therapist" just might be overheard by somebody you don't want to know, but you can bandy "visitor" about and actually have conversations about therapy without anybody being the wiser.
Thanks for this!

I like his first name-Peter. I sometimes called him "my Peter." He is a pdoc and most pts generally call him Dr Z. But, I worked with drs when I started seeing him so I called him by his first name because I was accustom to calling drs by their first name. I refer to him as my beacon of hope when I write about him.

His middle name

Former T: Empathy Eyes and some things too personal than I want to say here...

Current T: none yet; I called him Dr. Neutral for 2 weeks or so, but don't think of him that way at all anymore.

Awe I wish I had an awesome nickname for my T! I only ever call her by her name when discussing/mentioning her, talking to her, etc. I like her name too...it's pretty and it suits her. Sometimes I get a certain Christmas song stuck in my head when I hear her name, and got warm and fuzzy feelings whenever this song would come on over the holidays. lol So lame.

I refer to my ex-pdoc as "the little man" when talking to t, haha it is because he is actually short and looks so little sitting behind his big desk, also because I spent so very little time with him compared to the time I've spent talking with t. i haven't seen him in goodness over a year and a half, since we briefly talked about me going off the antidepressants and he was ok with it. I've been off them for a little over a year now, just celebrated that anniversary on 3/22.
