I was diagnosed schytoeffective but I really dont think thats my problem. Im so self aware of whats going on that im thinking my problem is drug induced. In the past whenever I was hospitalized I was using. I think im def depressed, maybe bi polar, I was diagnosed adhd when I was younger but now that im not drinking I cant see how my brains gonna just go crazy. I never cared in the past so I would always use then go delusional.

I do think im manic depressed and after my use with adderall, for those who have read my threads, i saw the diahnos of ppd. Paranoid personality disorder. I def have no self esteem, isolate, on disability, but I just never cared in the past. Im so aware of it now that im not drinking.

Bipolar disorder can cause symptoms similar to schizoaffective disorder, especially on drugs. It's worth making an appointment with a psychiatrist to be evaluated.

Well, if you quit using and the symptoms go away. . . then you'll know more. What's the joke? "I may be crazy but I'm not stupid!" You can be aware, care or not care, there's nothing magical about that but perhaps you and others have never been able to communicate that awareness before, especially when using and going off? I'm sure drug abuse, drinking, etc. definitely does not help much of anything.

i've heard it isn't uncommon for people who are bipolar to self-medicate. have you talked to your therapist or doctor about your concerns of being bipolar rather than schizoaffective?
