I especially like the third one because it makes me think of of a creature that comes up for me from time to time. I call it a jelly wolf. Have since I was in grade school. They are very well done

The first one reminds me of a puzzle being put together, kind of like you are trying to find the right place to fit each part of yourself symbolically. Now I'm inspired! I wish I was artistic.

I thought it was your MIl, Mom or Hubby depending on the situation. LOL

They are good. I expected more abstract or lacking shape items so I think they are great. But then I can not draw a straight line with a ruler so I have artist envy.
Thanks for this!

These are great!

The one on the right looks a bit like a baby/umbilical cord attached to a monstrous "mother" , almost like a Gauntlet with hammers, spikes etc.

But that may say more about me than you

No, you are almost headed in the right direction with your interpretation.

Sometimes I use 3x charcoal pencils, or 2x charcoal pencils, premium sketching paper, I would love to buy the expensive pencils and sketching pads, but I am just practicing on these, and just regular color pencils.

I also have pastels, acrylics and oil paints, and they sell acrylic paper for this, but I feel more comfortable with the sketching. I just draw whatever comes to mind.

I have seen some beautiful abstract art on websites, but mine dont even come close to that. Yes I was kind of upset when I drew this.

I used different kinds of pencils my favs are watercolor pencils. You might look into inktense pencils. Good art stores usually sell them individually. I suggest them because they are ink based. You can use them as regular pencils or add water and use them as a wash under your wax pencils to give them a little punch. The colors are really vibrant. On sketch or drawing paper use less water and it will not ripple the paper. Because of the wax you cannot use them on top of the regular pencils though you should always experiment Derwent makes them.

These are amazing!!! I love the really graphic-y one on the white background especially.

How do they unfold in session? Do you talk while doing them? Do they just spontaneously appear as you begin to draw, or do you know what you want to draw before/at the start of the session?
