Get cough syrup that has guafinesin in it. That isnt bad for heart or high blood pressure, it just stops the cough AND helps you get rid of mucus, howrver that works! I think its a suppressant and expectorant. T took some last week or so when he was sick, i never saw him get well so quick. I always have a bottle at home ready!
Thanks for this!

I hope you got some sleep and that you'll feel much better soon, rainbow. Being ill is miserable enough, and when the cough stops you from sleeping, it really drains your energy... and being worried about your T session on top of that is really tough.
Thanks for this!

Thank you for the get well wishes and suggestions. I'm going to call my Dr. soon. I didn't sleep well at all.

I emailed my T to cancel, at around 7:30 a.m. I wrote how grateful I am to her for giving me "part of herself" so I don't crave anything. She actually responded and said that is wonderful! So I have my appointment next Tuesday. That will mean a whole month since my last session, but I will be okay!

Only unless it's a really bad one and I have stay home from work (cause I feel so awful). Otherwise, nah. He doesn't seem to mind either way, really.
Thanks for this!

I talked to my dr. on the phone and he's giving me antiobiotics and something for my cough, even though it's probably a virus. I'm still miserable. If I had a job I wouldn't have gone; I didn't get dressed today or yesterday! I guess things get harder to shake when you're older, at least for me.

This 4 week break is teaching me how far I've come in therapy, though. I am thinking about what I want to focus on in my sessions.

Thank you. Her last reply was satisfying. She did NOT change the rule. I had to email about scheduling, so she wrote she was sorry I was sick. I had to email again to confirm canceling today, so I added a couple of lines and asked if she got the photos of my grandkids that I had sent. If I didn't ask her directly, she wouldn't have said anything until my session. If I write again, about therapy, she will NOT reply. Does that make sense?

It can be nice to look back and see how far you've come. It is tough, though, when illness prevents you from doing what you want. I have more difficulty recovering from illness now that I'm in my 50's. Plus, I have MS, so that makes it harder. But, I've learned to accept what is, and make the most of my good days. Hope you feel better quickly, and glad your doc responded to your needs via phone. (At least virtual hugs aren't contagious!)
