So I opened the door for talk on the hard stuff. I gave T a 4pg letter of the past told her didn't want to talk about it and burn it when done. Needless to say she didn't burn it and wants to talk about it. I told her last week it was irrational and illogical for me to say not talk about it.

I can't just expect her to accept that, it's the reality of the situation and her job to get into it. I told her ask away, I don't lie. Then the only thing she wants to talk about was the one good thing I had in it. So I think I should assume next visit is going to start the rest. Right?

Sorry off topic but chuckling. This dude keeps trying to start his car that keeps dying. He's either a) out of gas b) too much gap in spark plugs or c) battery too weak.

You've made it clear you are reluctant to talk about it, so I hope she will go gently.
But perhaps, deep down, you do want to talk?

Well just make sure to take it easy on yourself. Don't allow anyone to force you to talk about it or rush into the details of everything. Take things at your own pace. You can absolutely tell your T that you could only handle discussing bits and pieces of the letter at once.

Good luck to you.

Lol brains. Yeah so those 4pgs haven't really come up. But I did take another step and gave T this book I have that is filled with things I've written. The first 4days T had it were a nightmare! I was so anxious and so upset I felt physically ill. Now 2weeks later T still has it but I see her today so hopefully I get it back.

I am anxious to hear what she has to say about it. I gave her fair warning that it was bad but she's the first person I've allowed to read it. But I'm going to trooper today and not think about it and deal with it when I have to.
Thanks for this!
