Thoughts? Should I show it to my T?Thoughts? Should I show it to my T?Yes, I know I can't draw, and it looks like a 5 year old made it, but AsiaBlue has been pestering me to not think about it and just put something on the paper so this is what I put on the paper.

What do you think it's saying?

Should I show it to My T or try again?

It's a powerful image which was created from your inner self, no matter what age that may be. If you could show your t, it might be really useful and helpful with your therapy.
Thanks for this!

It's great!
I think you should show it to your T!
As for what it's saying.....maybe the figure in it LOOKS scary, but is actually scared too....the trees behind look like they're on fire? No safe haven? And the figure seems to be panicking, maybe no safe place to go to?
Just guesses
Hope it helped. I did a painting after a v difficult therapy session, and it helped a lot. I'll try and attach...

I think it's someone screaming for help but their mouth has been sealed and no voice can come out. It lends itself open to all kinds of interpretation which is why I vote to show it to your T.

Yes it's very powerful, I really had a strong emotional reaction just looking at it. I think it could really explain so much about how you are feeling.

I get the sense of a childhood personified. I see the tree on fire, the slide in the background. Agree that the figure is both scary and scared. Confrontational too, begging for help.

the figure is the bad guy. he has done something terrible (in the red areas) and is running away now bc he's scared to get caught.

It's an extremely powerful image. And what it says to me or the next person will be our own personal interpretation. What really matters is what it says to you, what you feel about it, what words come to mind when you look at it. What do the colour choices mean to you, if anything, do you get a sense of movement from it or stillness... etc

It's really fascinating. *high-five* for expressive art!

I would show it if it had some meaning to me or if I thought it would help with the reason I see a therapist. In general I would not see the point in showing the therapists such things, but if I wanted to show her and explain what it meant to me, then I would. I don't see it it as a should or should not sort of thing.

if you think it will help, i would show it. if you think it would help you feel better, i would show it.

also, it looks way better than anything i could draw.

I agree! I love it! Gingerbreadmen gone wild! I bought a print very similar to this a few years ago, and bought a smaller copy for t. Mine looks like a house burning down (or up ). The colors are similar. It was just irresistible. I forget who it was by, its around here somewhere.

Eta: red - omg, gorgeous.

it is intense. i figured it was supposed to be you until you explained. i think it is interesting that you didn't draw yourself to express your own feelings but someone else's. whoever he is he seems pissed and destructive. i would take it to therapy. it can be an opening to talk about whatever the scene depicts or just give your T more info about you if you don't want to say much about it.

asia does know her stuff so stop picking on her.

Asia is FULL of her stuff. I can't help picking on her. It's the only thing that makes me smile when I'm sad.

Asia, there is no emoticon available that has it's middle finger up, so I will just have to ask you to use your imagination...
