I see my pdoc today. I've been on a new med 6 weeks; it's helping some, but not entirely; I say that to let you know I don't feel 100% as it is.

But I noticed last night, and this morning, and in previous visits to previous pdocs, that I seem to have an especially bad time 24 hours before I see the pdoc. I'm not sure why. It makes me wonder if I talk myself into feeling like complete crap just to have something to report to the pdoc, because while I don't feel great right now, I feel a lot better than I did the last time I saw her. Yet last night was my worst night in weeks.

Does anybody else notice themselves doing this, or am I just weird (or the drama queen many people accuse me of being)?

Candy

I haven't noticed that Candy.... if anything I tend to feel somewhat "better" before seeing a pdoc (maybe so they think I don't "need" or "deserve" help?? who knows talking yourself into illness...)

But I do feel very anxious before any appointments..... but I deal with that with meds otherwise the anxiety is incapacitating and intolerable talking yourself into illness

You aren't weird or a "drama queen"... I hate labels talking yourself into illness

Candy, I think seeing a pdoc is stressful. Often, it's only once every couple of months for a meds adjustment. It's understandable you would be stressed and that could manifest itself in a number of ways, including having physical symptoms. Just report to the pdoc how you have been doing since you saw him/her last, and you can add, but last night was really bad, but that hasn't been my typical situation the last 6 weeks.

Good luck.

I'd growl, but I'm too upset.

Pdoc appointment just got canceled. It was supposed to be at 2:45. It's 1:30 and I just hung up the phone.

Next available appointment?

MARCH 27th.

Yeah ... I'm going to last that long talking yourself into illness
