No way in H*ll would my T get me to lie down for therapy. She's actually suggested it before...wishing I would. I didn't make a big deal out of it (just said no, I'm fine,) but I would definitely not feel comfortable lying down during a session. It's not so much the safety aspect of it, it's more the self consciousness. Nope, I sit. In many different positions (thoroughout one session) but I still just sit. The floor has looked appealing to me, but I think T would find it odd.

My T has a couch and a chair. I like the couch, but when wearing certain outfits, it is hard to get to a standing position. In those cases I opt for the chair. They have a chair in their waiting area that you can test drive, lol

Thanks for this!

My former had a sofa/couch, but I never spread out on it. The current has like a love seat size because that's what fits in his office. So I take up the same amount of room on either. I mean I get comfortable, just not lie down or anything. Sometimes I'll tuck my left leg up under me just because that's usually how I sit on the sofa at home typically.

In group, run by my current T, we have stools, a sofa, and chairs. I try to get there early enough to grab a chair or a spot on the sofa, but doesn't matter to me either way really. Even though the stools are padded and large, so not really like stools but more like chairs without backs, and you can lean against the big window, I just don't really want to sit on one of those unless I have to.

Comfy couch. I can lay or use an ottoman to recline, or just plain sit. I prefer to lay.

I did take my own chair in once when having back problems and the woman's awful couch would have caused pain rather than its usual discomfort. I also get up and stand behind the couch or by the door sometimes.

I want to start laying on the couch during my sessions merely so that my erections are evident. I don't know how my therapist is going to feel about it but my impulses are driving me crazy and this is my way of getting that form of stimulation from my therapy.

Thoughts?
