I was early 20s. It wasn't a big deal though. The morphine in the hospital was a trip. I couldn't stomach the painkillers I was sent home with so I took a **** ton of tylenol. I had two weeks of no talking and one week of whispering. Then I was back to normal.

For me the part that sucks is the therapist insisting my reactions are not correct. They always want to make it bad.

I just saw a review ltter from a Pdoc I saw during my last episode. I do not know who the person is in this letter but the patient he describes is NOT me. Just about everything in the letter is wrong, wrong, wrong. Ah I don't know who to complain to now.

Not a huge fan of snow myslef. Mit gets in the dogs' toes and makes them miserable on walks- but if I don't take them on walks, they get depressed. I have tried putting stuff on their feet, but it has not worked for them

One of our cats dislikes the snow, the other one doesn't mind it. We used to have a cat who seemed to really love it - she'd jump around in it like a dolphin, surfacing and disappearing again.

That's cute! Our cat is declawed (we adopted him that way) so he can't go outside. He's escaped a couple times, but always runs back at the first touch of snow.

It is... Friday is ok for me because it means I get a weekend of sleeping in slightly more than usual, plus help with the kids.

I'm sorry weekends are hard for you.
![]() ![]() ![]() They usually never turn out well for me. I have to work all day on Saturday which is unusual but not a bad thing either. |

Thanks, RTS. I'm sorry your weekends are so tough, too. Working Sat sounds like it could be a good thing. I hope your weekend will be okay.

Nope, I'm just playing here. To be honest I didn't think "gold star" was anything other than a turn of phrase.

I remember getting stickers in elementary school. They were just coloured shapes though.

They would put stars on charts and papers when I was in grade school. I don't recall finding such things particularly rewarding. It did make my mother crazy when she would point out some else got a better colored star than I did and I did not care nor would I agree I wanted to work harder or be better to get the other star. Fortunately she also had my sibling who would half kill himself for the top star color.
She thought I was difficult to motivate.

At the moment I don't teach any courses where I need to give out grades. It is the one thing I don't miss from my old job. But I do teach one course, pure proficiency, and all the students get is a certificate - perhaps I should add gold stars!

So instead of praising you for getting a star she would complain that it wasn't good enough? I take issue with your mom's idea of motivation SD... I was more like your brother.
