A Birkin Bag. She holds all of my stuff, I can take her with me when needed, and is sturdy and strong. Not to mention classy & fashionable.

A paperweight. The big glass kind that's always in the way but that you can't quite bring yourself to pitch. Utterly useless, but somehow the desk seems empty without it.

My last t I didn't like would be a rock in a box because she kept telling me to put things in a box with no explanation. The only thing in the box is her. A rock because she seemed stiff and showed no emotion to anything.

Oh crap! You better still be nice to me, ive gotten used to it now!

Are you reading the Neapolitan novels by Elena Ferrante? I think you (and your t) would like them. I wouldnt have written the above response - that ive gotten used to it - without their effect on me.

On my first visit I had the distinct impression he was a gnome living in a cave at the end of a labyrinth. After 1.5 years, I think he's the best-est fuzzy teddy bear ever.

It's hard to think of my therapist as inanimate, but I like what someone said about a candle lighting the way, so I'll go with that.

I think my idea of my therapist as an inanimate object depends on how I feel about her at the moment in time. Kind of like a boggart. Right now...she's a...

Possible trigger:

Because of the pain I feel about her reaction to something.
