I thought that you said that your classmates warned you about talking to this professor or or telling her too much? Sorry, it is possible I misread your other thread?

No, you guys did.

My classmates don't know anything about me to suggest not talking to her

I suspect that giving up some confidentiality with regard to your own personal issues is part and parcel to being in a program like this. After all, they are trying to educate quality Ts, and in order to be a quality T you must face your 'stuff' and not hide it out of shame.

This is exactly right. Dr. A says that the program should teach us about ourselves and we should have a paradigm shift. Classes generally involve sharing personal info with one another.

Not sure about the "in therapy and with whom," part, though. Lol I don't think that's the classes business.

But I've shared that i am in therapy, but no details. They should all be in therapy.

Yes, group counseling and classes generally should indeed involve appropriate sharing with other students. However, sharing with other students is entirely different from undertaking counseling with a professor.

My suggestion if you are interested is to look at the code of ethics for whatever specific profession you are training for. In the code that I am most familiar with, counseling of students by their professors is specifically forbidden. Your mileage may vary.
