I also teach adults. But the posts I was responding to were talking about children. I don't see the therapist and I doing the same thing.

As time goes on, I do feel more and more connected. I can't point to anything she says or does in particular. It's just there. She's there. Not gushy or verbose, but very present. We had a brief email exchange yesterday that was really eye opening for me in regard to some issues I have. It was like an entire session or ten, wrapped up in just a few short messages. The exchange had to do with a rl situation, but it has resulted in a stronger connection that's been growing over the past year. I've had really bad experiences with therapists and therapy, but this one has been worth hanging in there to find.

I don't know if it's a "connection" I clearly have one with her, but she has gone above and beyond to make sure I can continue to see her, so that seems to show she at least cares about keeping me healthy...
