I don't feel I want to talk about this in T because it seems trival.
Of all the things in my life I've been through, it's the small things that have a habit of trooping me up.
I git a letter from the council talking me after 20yrs that I can't Park where I Park my car unless I get a proper kerb done.
I will get it done. But I can't stop thinking about where am I gonna Park my car? what if someone else parks in front of my house?
I think it's the "someone" else that is the trigger. The not knowing who this maybe and having them so close to my house.
'Strangers' are a big trigger to me.
I am tossing and turning in bed. Walking along the street talking to myself. Clenching my teeth.

I am sorry Mouse. I understand the fear of "someone." I hope that it eases soon.

Mouse

Maybe you could bring it to your T? It doesn't sound trivial to me...

And for now, get on to a builder and park your car where you always park it. I think the council be okay with that.

Parking had been routine and predictable for so long and now its been disrupted. I get triggered and anxious about such things too. Sometimes becoming conscious of my breathing - counting or slowing - can serve as a distraction to the anxiety. Sometimes it is too pernicious for that and I try other distractions or ways to ground or reframe. I dont think this is a particularly small issue for you and may be worth bringing up with t. That may even help you put it in perspective or at least understand it better. Hoping some relief comes your way ,Mouse.
