I keep very busy. I answer emails, text a friend, read pc, panic, look at facebook, eavesdrop, dissociate, fight the sudden overhwelming urge to nap and become blissfully unconscious, try to stay in my body, wonder why the hell I voluntarily show up at that office, try to remember why last week i thought i liked T when obviously i hate him and should run the hell away, attempt to force myself to read the batshit drivel i emailed to T since tbe last session, shun all email reading due to intense humiliation and lack of interest in the now-minimized topic, strain to recall any of the other topics that seemed SO important when my session seemed far away, try to practice NOT jumping when the door opens, try to force myself into presenting notmal body langauge to the other T as he leaves for the day, mumble to myself, reorganize my body, my purse, my laptop case, and my water bottle 50 times, take a mint from the jar and lose it in my purse.
Thanks for this!

All of the above, depending on the occasion.

Sometimes I make notes if there's something pressing I don't want to forget (I often get tounque-tied or ramble in session, then forget my point.) Sometimes, if I don't want to think too much before hand, I'll read a book or an article on my iphone. If there are others in the waiting room, I often do Suduko or doodle in my sketch book to avoid eye-contact.

Lately it's been empty at my hour, so I'll often just kick my feet out and lean back to zone out. If it were comfy enough to fall asleep, I probably would.

If I'm not on my phone, I bs with the receptionist. Sometimes I look more forward to chit-chatting with her, than talking with the therapist lol!

I read People magazine--something I would never spend money on myself, but fun to read while I'm there.

I play with my phone and focus on not throwing up. Anxiety is so much fun.
