Is it okay to take a week off from therapy? I'm feeling really overwhelmed by everything going on, and it seems like I always leave therapy with more awareness of my issues and what I need to work on than I do when I arrive (not a bad thing! Just overwhelming). I feel like I need a little more time to digest everything from my last session and think it through before I meet with my therapist again. Is there anything wrong with calling my therapist tomorrow (my session isn't until Wednesday) and explaining how I'm feeling and telling her I would like to just plan on skipping this week and seeing her again the following week?

No, nothing wrong, sounds like a good plan
I had a two week holiday away in the summer, and felt sooo much better coming back to therapy afterwards!

You can always take time off. If you go too much into it, she may try to talk you into coming in anyway, I'd just tell her you need a week off and will return on your next scheduled session.

Lots of people do this and find it very helpful. Nothing wrong with doing it at all.
You may want to find out your Ts policy on payment though. My T doesn't charge if I give at least 24h notice, but some others do charge so you should ask what the policy is if you don't already know.

If you feel you need more time to process, have you thought about spacing your sessions a little more? I found that with just a week right when I was done processing it was time to get ready again. I wanted a few therapy-free days in between so 10 days apart was good for me. Starting with the new T., I think I'm going to ask for that or even every 2 weeks.
