100 couches and 3 years ago ...where does the time go?

This can be a place to just drop by... Ask a question, chat, find a friend..etc. come one come all. Or just read, I was a lurker too.. It takes time, no one bites! Although most people here are or have had therapy their are lots of people who don't , this is a space for healing and support. Grab a snack stay awhile!

1. Play nice.

2. "Cool whip!!!" if you want company.

3. Drinking or Drugging and email/texting a T is NEVER a good idea- thanks Stopdog

Hanging in there. Things are mostly ok, just frustrated with my job, and despairing of finding a new one, and that takes up a lot of my mental space. But I can't really complain! Other stuff in my life is pretty good. Baby Brown is now Toddler Brown. Things change fast.

How are you?

Regarding rule 3.. never combine 150 mg of Tramadol with 54 mg of caffeine (= two cans of coke) and research how to adress noble people (and professors and PhD's and such). I sent my homeroom teacher an email that started with (the my-language equivalent of) "Honourable wellnobleverylearned and wellnobleborn Lady" (both are valid titles in my country) and it continued like that for the whole email. (The ending was something like "Yours faithfully, Your most humble servant, Breadfish) Her response was something like "What drugs are you on?".
Thanks for this!

That is so much better than what my students call me. Often they just use my last name: "Atasket...[rest of message]."

So, props to you.

Well, she was an amazing teacher. Still is, probably, but I'm not attending that school anymore. (I'm in SpecEd nowadays)

Yay i found the new couch! It was hiding from me but i was sneaky and finded it! Thnks lola and hope u r well!

I'm still off and on trying to become t-less but i have not been successful to that end as i keep going back. Its even harder to quit now that she moved back. Oh well. When I'm not trying to quit, I'm trying to accept being a therapy lifer.

I didn't mean to imply you aren't an amazing teacher, by the way. I haven't ever been in your classes so I can't speak on that.

Huh? I never even thought that was being implied! Clearly I really need to work on being more sensitive.

It's the fricking mirror that keeps doing that to me.

I'm pretty sure it's the pizza, burritos, brownies and sitting at a desk all day in my case.

Hello couch!

I can't remember which couch I first snuggled down on, or hid under, as the case may be. I'm really glad I found it though!

Tonight is monster-headache, followed by a pancake supper courtesy of DD1, followed by helping DD2 with homework, followed by an even bigger headache.

The good news is tomorrow is Friday and that equals two blessed sleep-in days!

I hit the wine early today. Therapy was weird in an I'm dealing with emotions I don't understand very well kind of way. And T has moved into his new office. He's not just in private practice now but actually running his own practice. I'm delighted for him, but on my end I'm finding it strange and a little intimidating. I was one of his first clients when he left the practice he worked for - I followed him. Now he has a staff and all the trappings. It's... Well, it's different.

Wow, I missed LC and Sally Brown. Bummer. And I can't seem to connect with BP. (Didn't think I would forget you, did ya, kid?)

We had to have a 504 meeting at school with my D. She asked to be excused to go the the Nurse's station, never made it, they found her on the bathroom floor, huddled in a ball, crying, The school seemed pretty supportive but would not acquiesce to certain requests. She is a senior and I wonder about her going off to school where we are not close by.

What really has me pissed off is the 504 plan proposal we signed off on came back with alterations. On the form we signed. It looks like we agreed to the changes. Fortunately, we have a copy of before and after. I can't believe they would try to alter a document that was previously signed.

This is one of my favorite Neil tunes.
