I am finally sitting still for the first time in several weeks and taking a deep breath. Just finished up a week of rehearsals and concerts and I'm pretty pooped but pleasurably so.

My son's audition in the next phase toward the State Choir process is tonight. He's been pretty stressed between this pending audition, several AP courses, rehearsals for Madrigal Dinner, etc., but I am so proud of the character and perseverance he has shown, the responsibility and resilience to keep plugging away. In this audition they only take the top 5 out of 15 in his section, and this is an extremely competitive region so the odds are going to be difficult. At first he seemed indifferent about advancing through this stage, but lately I can tell this is something he is really hoping to achieve; his directors and private lesson teacher have shown great confidence in his ability to do this, and he realizes it is a real possibility now where he lacked that confidence earlier on. He told me the other day, "Just don't let me be 6th; I'd rather blow it and be 15th than to be one chair shy of advancing." We'll see how it goes. Just sent him a text letting him know I'm thinking about him and proud of his hard work and talent. He's a great kid -- a fine young man.

I'm ready for this week to be over so I can have a week off. We all definitely need it. Our Novembers and Decembers are packed with rehearsal and concerts for the entire family; we love it and grow exhausted at the same time.

On a different note: we woke up at 3:45AM to the tornado sirens going off. Really strong squall line came through with probably 60-70mph straight-line winds. It was a fast mover though and the worst was over before we could wake up enough to even fully comprehend that what we were hearing were sirens. All is well; just very wet.

I want reinforced concrete in my new operating system, don't you? Lets all tell MS thats what we want. I have never anywhere seen a suggestion bo anywhere in MS product or a "how could we improve..." card. I also hate it when with every new verson they take something away that was truly useful to me.

Hello couch. Well i am feeling angry at t, maybe not at her but at the t relationship, what it is and what it isn't too, that she gets to sit there safe in her little 50 minute box and not have to feel anything, and i have all these feelings i don't know how to leave in that same box. I really wonder why it took me more than 4 years to see and feel angry about this??! Almost every fiber of my being wants to cancel thursdays appt and just refuse to go back. I feel like an idiot!! I know i should go and just face it so that is what i will do but damn.

For me it isn't so much looking forward to it or not, but I'm having people over for Thanksgiving dinner and I probably need to make sure to purchase a turkey

This is a good start. You'll learn to name them, I'm sure. That's how therapy works.

Brilliant.

Well, besides that, the session actually went OKish. But still. Bursting out crying because a hand gets close to your face? That's just embarassing.

She had no right to touch you without your permission. She owes you an apology.

It sure is tough, it sounds like you are doing a great job and have made much progress in the four years I've been reading what you share on PC. The work you are doing takes strength and bravery.

I am one of those people who, if you wag a finger in my face, can barely restrain themselves from biting it.

So don't me in response, unaluna.

So I tried stopdog's refusal to call doctors by their title thing today and used my surgeon's first name instead. Clearly discombobulated her no end, to my great satisfaction.

Good job. I have no idea where those guys get off calling others by their first name but expecting to be addressed with a title.

Our older dog hates wet grass and will walk around the garden edging stick his butt out and then walk back. There is a terrible todo if one of his paws accidently comes in contact with the grass...

I don't know I think so. She left a message on her profile saying she was having an indeterminate break from PC.
