The visual of her trying to squeeze under the door is just too cute! Hope the cats accept her soon.

Well i have a third job at the tax place as long as I pass the test on thursday. That makes three jobs after the holidays. I'm not gonna start til January. Panera is two evenings right now, Taco Bell is three evenings right now, and the tax place is 4 days but only 3-5 hours a day. I'm gonna be one busy chick January thru April. Ha! I cant believe it but I'm so glad its happening.

Hi, couch.

I left school job early to get to CVS Secret Santa party. It was short, but I didn't feel like going back to school and didn't know what I could do for 5 hours till I am on at CVS, so I came home and am relaxing. Driving to CVS twice in one day means more gas, but whatever. Had to drive past pdoc's office to get home, he was just getting there (he works at the psych hospital as medical director in the mornings and has his private practice in the afternoons). I don't look for him on purpose, I was just at the red light and saw him getting out of his car. His car does not fit him. He is in his late 50's and his car is a bright red Mustang. I had to laugh.

The resident dog is acting funny. His mom is away for the day, so maybe that is it. He is resting on my bed now. Cute puppy.

Well, I guess I could get more of the inservice DVDs watched. Or I could take a nap. I should probably finally get to cleaning, but that is overrated. :P

I had 7 cats in the house for awhile (we combined 2 households and got a kitten) - it all worked out. It was much tougher on us than on the cats - they just spit and hid - we worried.
Haha, that is so funny! My friend's cat is generally not the nicest, and has total control over the big male dog in the house. He'll also whine if the cat is any way blocking his path. It's so funny to see.

How's that for an excuse to cancel therapy: "Sorry t, I can't catch my kitten I have to cancel." Nervous Nelly me wants to do exactly that.

Still thinking of names. Last night I was thinking Copernicus but she's a she, so this morning I'm thinking Penelope Pitstop. I don't know I've never been good at naming pets.
I like Penelope, or Penny

Wasn't there talk about Copernicus around here just a few days ago?

Feminize it - make her Copernica!

I think there was, that's probably why the name was in my head now that you mention it! Maybe Calamity Jane would work too, what with jumping on the ceiling fan and all. Thankfully it was not on at the time of said jumping!

I just got home from t and running an errand directly after, it was a refreshingly different session today, which I was glad for. We chatted briefly about my trip and then she said let's try something and she handed me a tarot deck (I didn't even see that she had one out I'm so observant haha) wish I'd asked her the name of it, because the illustrations were beautiful, it was one I hadn't see before the cards are round the backs of each are dark blue with a small moon in the center of each. We sat on the floor and I pulled 3 cards and laid them out in front of me in the order I pulled them, and then I had 10 minutes to write a story from the cards starting "Once upon a time there was a shaman on a journey...." I set to writing immediately and of course it didn't take me near 10 minutes to write the little story they told me. She had me read the story out loud, and then read it out loud a 2nd time making it "once upon a time I was on a journey" and using "I" and "me". It was really rather fascinating and illuminating, after I read it the 2nd time I looked at t and said omg that's exactly what I do isn't it, and she just smiled that annoying t smile that says "it's about time you realize it" without saying it. You know the one. It was a good session though, really relaxing, sitting on the floor leaning back against the couch with the sun shining through the window talking about my little story. (I'm usually there in the evening, so it was kinda nice the morning sunlight coming in!) I talked a little about my supervisor at work getting a new job, same place just in a different department and I told her I feel a little sad about him "leaving me" because I've grown a lot as an employee with him as my sup, and she reminded me that I had told him in the beginning when he first became my supervisor what I needed from him to be successful and I was like - oh yeah - I did, didn't I? I had forgotten all about that!! How does she remember so many little things that I tell her and I completely forget them?

I told her I'm thinking again about going back to school, and she asked for what and I said I'm interested in both going for my MFA in creative writing/poetry and taking some psychology classes because I find this psychology stuff so fascinating. She got all excited when I said that lol and started talking about opportunities for clinical psychologists and I told her oh but no I do not have the patience at all to do what you do. She said she didn't think she had much patience I was like are you kidding me? I feel and have always felt like you have the patience of a saint with me! and she said she didn't see it as patience it's just that we have the right 'fit' for this work, she said I am one of her favorite people because I always show up and I always do the work. that there are so many others that come through her office but don't want to do the work and just stop coming. Right before I left she gave me a hug saying "I just feel like I need to give you a hug today." That surprised me because I hadn't gotten a hug from her since May when she was here visiting. I think t's should be required to plan nice, relaxing sessions like that one was (if their client wants that, of course) a few times a year. It was refreshing.

I'm glad to say PrevT reports she was two miles away from any shooting in California...and not hurt.

Saw T today...so much on my mind. My sil (brother#2) passed away last Sunday of cancer that started in the thyroid. She was only 53. They have one son who is twenty-something. There's a service in another state today, then a memorial service here on Sunday. It's painful to see my family hurting.

Tomorrow my brother#1 arrives in town for the service and he's staying with me for about four days. I hope everything goes smoothly. He wants to go Christmas shopping this week. Anyone else see that as a little discordant? But we will do it! >I live to serve< (j/k)

Another issue we talked about in therapy today is- T and I are wondering if after all this time I have had autism/Aspbergers. The singer, Susan Boyle, was dx with Aspbergers late in life. She said this of her diagnosis, "I think people will treat me better because they will have a much greater understanding of who I am and why I do the things I do." This is what I'm hoping for, too, if tests and interviews show I have it. Aspbergers would explain quite a few things in my life. T is checking to see if Medicare and or Medicaid will cover the tests.

I have many things to think about.

Hugs to all who want them. Unhugs for stopdog.

I'm off to the vets with the kitten, to make sure she's as healthy of a little girl as she seems to be, and for immunizations. Sweet baby girl. I will have a few more pics later.

The first time I took Psychopuss to the vet, the vet was saying what a nice looking kitten she was when she clawed her way up the vets arm and bit her on the ear.
Hope your visit is non-eventul Art.

One of the assistants picked her up and she ran up on his shoulder, and then before he could close the door she jumped off and ran across the clinic and hid behind the x-ray machine. She is a pistol I tell you! But she is healthy and weighs 3.9 lbs and they estimate she is 12 weeks old. Here she is at the vet mid-meow:

I thought taking a summer semester course would help me get my degree quicker. Apparently the course has minimal co-ordination as most of the staff are on leave. I need the results of my first assignment so I can edit my second assignment which is dueon the day we get the first assignment bak AARRGGH. I won't be doing this next year.

Yep. One of my friends at work found the pregnant mother in the alley behind her house and was feeding her, the mother I guess moved into her carport and must have had the kittens there so she's been helping mama cat take care of them since they were born and is keeping one of them, gave me one, and the 3rd one to someone else.

Ooo! I love Penelope Pitstop! My tabby is Persephone...

Persephone and Peter fought like, well, cats when I first brought Peter home. She was a month or two older than him and a little bigger. I mostly let them at it and they sorted it out after 4 or 5 days. Now they get along famously.

That is what my best friend nicknamed after looking after her for a few days, she still has scars on her legs. The cats real name was Napushka.(Don't drop acid while naming a kitten)

I like Persephone for a cat too! I'm just a little worried about the difference in size with our cats - the two older ones are big - and Miss Penny is so little! The vet said to keep them apart for 2 weeks to make sure the kitten isn't already developing a cold or anything and then gave us some hints for bringing them together. One thing she mentioned was a thing that plugs into the wall and emits some scent that keeps them calm or something, not sure about that will need to research it a bit. Never heard of it before.

I should be cleaning. I did clean up the kitchen and run the dishwasher earlier, and have a load of laundry going. But what I really need to do is mop the floors, but I don't have any pads for my Swiffer thingy & that's the only mop I have. I'd much rather sit here though with Miss Pitstop on my lap playing on the computer!
