If I take a new job, I'll need to find a new T. I worry that finding a T that does early mornings nights or weekends may be hard to find.

What time of day do you see your T? I want to see if off hours are common or not

I go in the afternoon of a weekday for both. The first one does not work weekends (she is only mon-wed and is semi retired) but she does have late afternoon/early evening appointments. The second has two careers and works half -time at therapisting but she does work saturdays and late afternoons too. My schedule is relatively flexible.

My appointments with Sparky are at 7am which gives me plenty of time to get to work by 8:30

T is really flexible and works all through the day and evenings. Growlything, I am glad to hear you are going to see a new t because you have spoke about miscommunications between you and your cbt t for a long time.

Hi Mona-

This is Growlycat but I understand how I am confused with Growlything
(Haven't heard from her in a while)

Things have been much better with CBt T just not ideal.
I think I just don't post as much when things are going well! I need to fix that

Does everyone have a set appointment day and time? I go at whatever time/day T offers for that week.
Thanks for this!

Usually last appointment a day. Mine is off in the weekends and Friday. She works all day with the last appt at 7. But next weeks she will see me early on Wednesday as we have half day. I only see her once s month so we play it by ear

I go on a Friday late afternoon (430pm) which is the last slot of the day at the public hospital outpatient clinic. The clinic doesn't run after office hours or on weekends.

Due to the above, and because I work full time, every time I have an appointment, my psychologist or a nurse writes out an official memo stating I was at the hospital for treatment. (It's a standard document in hospitals where I live) Which I then give to my boss and HR.

I'm fortunate that my boss doesn't mind me taking an hour early off work every alternate Friday as long as I produce a new hospital memo each time.

My psychologist tries to keep that slot open for me every alternate week as she knows that's the day where therapy will give minimum disruption to my work week.

I have a set day/time and second appointment available to me during the week, if I need it.

My t works 9-4, 2 days of the week, 7-4 one day, and 9-8 another, so although he isn't always available in the mornings or evenings, he is sometimes.

I answered after 6 however it varies. T is semi retired and officially sees clients 2 days a week. from 8ish am to 7pm. I work late one of the days she has hours and not so late on the other day so that is the day I am regularly scheduled. However, because T works from home some has a lot of flexibility especially if it is related to my kids or job. Sometimes she will see me later than normal. Other weeks she wills see me in the morning on the weekday I have off even though that is not her regular office day.

I pretty easily found a T who works saturdays. I expected it to be much more difficult, AND she is awesome.

I work a day shift right now, so currently I'm going right after work on Thursdays. If my shift changes, we'll work around that. She does Saturday appointments, well she used to anyway I guess she still does. I haven't asked in awhile.

T1 is whenever is can get in between M-F 8am-5pm....most of my sessions with him are in the morning because it's what is available.

T2 I told her that I really like the consistency of going every time on Thursday nights at 7pm. That hasn't changed in the 2 years thankfully, even with switching to a new T.
