My T starts at 8 or 9 I think. She works Thursday and Friday. She works Friday and Saturday when here school hours change. All the other days she teaches at the university.

Right now I'm seeing her 12:30 mostly on Fridays...occasionally on Saturday.

When I was in therapy, my appointments were almost always at 5PM, 4PM at the earliest. Have to make a living first . . .

Neither of mine are in the office full-time (one works 3 days, one four). They have the normal range of 9-5 appointments. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find someone early evening, though.

What's therapy at 7 am like? I have a flexible schedule, so I always make sure I don't do therapy right before work - I figure it might be upsetting.

I see mine at 11:00 am now tat I'm not working, but when I was working he would see me at 5:30pm so I didn't have to take off work.

I had one counselor that would see me at 6am so that I didn't have to take off of work.

I find that many are willing to work around normal working hours to make it easier on their clients.

For what it is worth - the 4 therapists I have seen over my life span all had either early evening or weekend hours if not both. I think they realize that to get clients, they have to be somewhat flexible not just 8:30-5 pm set workday themselves as many if not most of their clients may be unable to take off from their set job hours. The first one I ever saw took off Sunday and Monday and worked tues - saturday for example.

I had an afternoon appointment when I was going weekly. Now, I just go when he has an available opening. Makes it hard since I work full-time and his office is over an hour away.

ETA: He doesn't offer evening or weekend appointments. Guess he is popular enough that people do what they have to do to see him during his normal office hours.

I am not a morning person so afternoons are the best for me. I usuallybtrybtonwork it around the next step DBT group my psychologist does so I only have to drive there once that week though it's only 20 minutes from home. Though most times I never have the same appointment time & we just work it into her schedule during the day.

Unfortunately I don't have the same time each week. I like to have my session around 1-2-3 pm. I don't want them to early or to late because of traffic.

My appointments with pdoc are usually around 4.30pm or 5pm.

Not anymore The place she works now doesn't do set appointments. I hate that. It's much more convenient to have the same day and time every week.

My sessions are normally in the early afternoon, between 1:15 and 3:40, depending on schedule. On week days. wish my therapist had a spot available regularly for late evenings, it would be easier for me, but he only works two (almost) full days and a hald per week in his practice these days. I wish he had more scheduling options, but at least we can usually agree on an afternoon spot.

I sometimes need to compose myself in the car before taking off to work, if it is a hard session--I kind of like starting my day with therapy!

You could possibly find someone with more flexible hours. My first therapist only worked nights a few days a week. My T now was willing to be flexible and see me around regular full time day hours by seeing me later in the day or now, on weekends.

My previous T saw clients 3 days a week, but her appointments were from 7:30 am to 8:45pm.
Current T sees clients on Tues, Thurs, Fri, all day, and Sat mornings.
I prefer my appointments to be at the end of the work day. I can leave work a little early if I need to, as long as it's not consistent. I only see T every 10 to 14 days so the day and the time varies a little. The time I try to schedule is usually a week day after 2 pm and no later than 5 pm. I have done a couple Sat. morning sessions.

Like a few others, the therapist only works Monday through Wednesday. I am a Monday client. I take whatever time she has available. I usually accept 3:30p but from time to time I am rescheduled to 4:30 or 5:30. Rarely, because her evening appts are usually already taken by teenagers who attend school during the daytime or young clients who have working parents.

I prefer later appointments in the Winter, when it is dark outside but her lamp is on so that the room feels warmer, but it doesn't make much of a difference to me.

My therapist only offers 8-4 (so ending at 5 pm) appointments during the workweek. He's booked out. That would probably be more difficult for a novice therapist with a new practice.

I think that's a regional thing though because there are a lot of tech companies here where leaving an hour in the day isn't a big deal.

My appointments are 9 a.m same days every week. Having different times every week wouldn't work for me.

I don't have a set time - just whenever I choose. If you want a set time on a set day, (which I don't because of work) then you have to book in advance. I do favor 8 am and 12 pm shifts because those are the days when the office is usually pretty empty. =]

This was impossible for me to answer as I have more than one therapist. I until this week I was seeing two counsellors - one weekend, one weekday who either came to my house or took me out (coffee, groceries). I have a psychiatrist who is doing CBT and psychotherapy. I am lucky here too. Altho my appointment is scheduled 1-2 she will take me in early over lunch allowing us extra time.
