Did it make him more hyper?

Benadryl usually just makes me zoned out. I can't really sleep when I take it.

Benadryl doesn't have the sleepy effect on my pups either. Also, doesn't have any effect on me.

Okay, a bit of a whine: my aunt (my mothers sister) called me last week asking if i had my (recently deceased) mothers recipe for some special xmas cookies. I dont, but i found some online and texted the sites to my cousin. My cousin replied to me, "i'll tell her you tried." I was like wtf? Today my aunt calls me again. I go, didnt cousin give you the recipes? Theyre not exact, but they should be close. She was like, yeah, i just need an idea. (Italians are notorious for their loose recipes.) Its funny, my cousin is like my mother - glass half empty, whereas i think im more like my aunt, glass half full.

That cracks me up.
I think often how nice it would be to give my crazy 2 year olds Benadryl during the day

Reading the first few posts of it now made me smash my fist in the door post for the first time in a long, long time. I get so angry and feel so worthless. I don't think I ever replied in the thread at the time because I was really rather terribly hurt so I just stayed away from PC. I would kind of like to reply now but I guess it's pointless this much later - besides, I would not want to hurt the other person whom I like and admire, and who was in the right. I should not have posted in the first place so if I did I have only myself to blame for the fallout. Never post, Mastodon - at least not about therapy, or your opinions, thoughts or feelings. At least not if they don't agree with those of the real people.

I just hope T doesn't notice that my hand looks a bit injured today. I won't see him for three weeks after this session and there is no lasting harm done to my hand.
Aw Mast! I think you should take a Stopdog approach. If others disagree with you, ignore them. Opinions are not facts. Just because your opinion may be in the minority doesn't mean you are wrong or bad or anything of the sort.

There's a page I follow that posts comments from people who are being painfully sanctimonious judgmental parents (names redacted of course). It's always funny because people like to add satire in the comments with increasingly absurd statements like, "I only feed my children the light of the goddess... but I'm sure you tried your best."

It gives me a good chuckle.

Yes, exactly... sometimes I feel as if every single post I make on these forums (outside the couch) is on that theme. "We're all individuals! Different things work for different people!" Thanks.

(The thing is, I get so upset by other people's words, sometimes, and so I think I should be more careful with what I write to others, lest I make them as upset.)

So I have discovered "vrutchenhagel"!!!
Its a Dutch food---fruit flavored sprinkles you put on buttered bread. I just ordered a whole kilo box from Amazon. It is so amazing I've been having it for dinner every night. Admittedly I have a bad cold and haven't been very hungry. But it's amazing! Kind of like Aussie fairy bread except the sprinkles are SO much tastier!!!
It also comes in chocolate but I don't like chocolate very much

That was beyond rough. Seriously, how is one supposed to handle all these confusing emotions and feelings.

If you figure it out let me know. I just realized today that I am freaking about my T's holiday break.

I really think that it is a rude and unpleasant thing for someone who only knows you from a few forum posts to suggest that your therapy in ineffective or haven't made sufficient progress to satisfy their criteria.

I have many big issues to sort through in therapy but whether I think I am making progress is up to me.

I know not everyone approves of how my therapist does things but I try not to judge anyone and to always describe my experiences as my own alone, recognizing that other people have different needs.

That was just really rude and uncalled for.

I just took a holiday break from the second one. I had expected her to be gone like the first one is, but she said she is not. I went ahead and said I would not be back until Jan.

Oh how I wish I had your detachment.
For me the anticipation of the break is really worse than the reality and I keep telling myself that.
I have a full day of work Saturday, horseback riding Sunday. Two more full days of work, fly to Florida Wednesday and come home on Sunday then more work Sunday. I doubt I will actually miss her that much because I have so much going on. But thinking about not seeing her sets off my abandonment triggers
