Ok I need help. I am an hour away from my second session with the new therapist and I am kinda freaking out. I have nothing to talk about. Do I just tell him that I have nothing to tallk about so he asks me questions or helps me explore some areas or what? Because really(for real, as kids say) I have nothing to talk about?
Also does this mean it is not a good fit? So post now if you have any suggestions because I am leaving in 35 minutes. Thanks |

Say you don't know what to talk about. Has nothing bothered you since your last session. Talk about whether or not s/he can help you with your problem.

Yes, if you just say that you feel like you have nothing to say your therapist will probably help you figure out a direction. It's ok to need help in bringing up topics. I don't think it's likely it means it's a bad fit, because it seems much more about your own feelings of having nothing to say than any dynamic between you two.
