SD I'll be thinking kind thoughts at you for your dentist trip today, those are my worst nightmare.

Gotta get my act together and head out for work. Today should be quite busy but I'll peek in when I can. Happy Thursday couchies!

I hate it when therapy homework doesn't go well at all, and then there's the times it goes too well. I mean, it's this story t 'assigned' me to write, we did this one time in her office too I drew 3 cards from a tarot deck and then wrote a quick story from looking at the images on the cards. It was cool the first time we did it, I got a great insight out of it. She said to write for about 10 minutes. That was all well and good the time we did it in her office. But left to my own devices, I worked on it between calls all day yesterday and it's up to almost 900 words and not done yet. Too long! I don't want to use up my session time reading it to her. So I'll just give it to her on my way out the door and say if you are bored some evening and have nothing better to do, you can read it then. Ha.

I don't want to go to work today. I don't know why one hour of overtime for 3 days in a row is so tiring, but it is. We have an hour today and tomorrow too and then 8 hours over the weekend. They still haven't changed mine to be Sunday, I told my sup several days ago I need to be off Saturday for therapy, and I even offered to work 4 hrs in the morning, go to therapy, then come back and work another 4 hours if they can't let me do it all on Sunday. But he said no, he won't ask to have it split up. Grr. I could probably go to HR about that refusal, but I don't want to stir things up, he hasn't been my sup for very long. Seriously, I'm not refusing to work the overtime in any way shape or form! I'm just asking them to accomodate a previously scheduled appointment that I do not want to change. Grr again. Oh well. It is what it is. I'd wanted to take a break the rest of this month anyway. Maybe I should just cancel the appointment and work the overtime and take my break now like I'd wanted to. The problem with that is, talking about that dream last time opened something up that wants to be talked about and I was looking forward to diving into it sooner rather than after a break.

I'm just stalling cuz I don't want to go to work. I need to quit that. Have a good day, couchies! Sending hugs to all who want them.
Hugs from:

I was listening to an audio book today that takes place in London and she called her pantry an anti-fridge. Do those in Europe call them anti-fridges instead of pantries? .... Intrigued.

I think there's something called the anti-fridge movement?

But who knows in a nation that doesn't think muffins are cake?

FYI for those attempting elk wrangling and/or riding -- they make these cool little rumble seats for saddles now. It is a little add on seat for a child that fits right behind the cantle. Only seats one, but might be useful for a child that no longer fits in the saddle bag.

Oh, but if you only have a child in one saddle bag and not the other, be sure to load enough food, toys and drinks in the other saddle bag to equal the weight of the child. Unbalanced loads might aggravate or injure your elk.
Thanks for this!

It's where her boyfriend put the canned goods he bought at the store....? I'm seriously perplexed by this - Now I have to search for ante-fridge and a anti-fridge movement hehe

My youngest dog has trained me to hold his rawhide for him while he stands on my feet gnawing the rawhide. I have been trying to figure out when or how this started.

It is a distraction from the dentist in about an hour. One of my favorite instances of throwing the therapist off her game was the time she reacted to me telling her the dentist had been my most stressful sort of appointments but therapy was worse.

Totally just pictured an overly stressed SD on an Elk with Unaluna behind her (I know this will get ack'ing all over the place) and cats in one saddle bag and perhaps a years supply of cool whip in the other for the elk riding adventures.

The poster formerly known as hankster has to get her own elk. I am not sharing mine with her or a saddlebag full of cats. my cats would not have been able to share a large crate, let alone a saddlebag. Kitty carnage is the only result I can imagine out of such an endeavor.

At least I didn't suggest stuffing you in a saddlebag with the cats.

No one has considered how the elk might feel about cats. Or cool whip.

Boss just suggested I go home because I'm in a ridiculous sleepy medicated haze. Maybe shouldn't have driven to work this morning.... but I'm staying. Have a big vacation coming up and can't afford to take any more leave without pay.

I have, however, seen and owned an ante-fridge

Having actually wrangled elk for veterinary treatment, I hope the wranglers escape with their lives. We used some very complicated safety equipment to contain the elk
