I put "other," because I am not sure really that it matters first of all, but not sure if I would "care" if she did think about me after therapy ends. I suppose its nice if I had made an impression on her that stuck, and certain things may remind her of me....but, in the end it doesn't really matter.

For me it's up in the air. She and I went to the same small grad school and share similar network, but she is new in her career and I'm nothing too unique, so who knows.

I am still in contact with my 11th grade Creative Writing teacher. And I was her student in 1979!! I still occasionally send her poems to read and she comments on them. We had lunch a couple years ago when I was visiting my family, and I was going to see her last time I was back there too, but I got that stupid cold so didn't want to get her sick.

I hope my therapist will remember me after we end therapy. She is my first therapist so I will remember her, obviously. But I get the feeling that our relationship is more important to me than it is to her - of course she has many clients but she is my only therapist.

Regardless of whether she will remember me or not, I think it's natural to want someone to care about you after you part ways. At least I think so.

Thanks for this!
