It's complicated.

I am apparently doomed to earn my money the slow way. Oh well, I can dream.

Hmm. I have not started my laundry yet. I can't even blame it on the cat this time.

One time senior cat fell asleep on top of my cell phone. It happened to be on vibrate. Naturally (because I am a terrible person), I called it from the house phone. (We had landlines then!) Senior cat jumped a foot in the air and also correctly identified me as the culprit. I got the cold shoulder until the next mealtime.

She said she'd already read it twice, and asked me to read it out loud to her, and she got up and brought me the teddy bear and put it right next to me so I put my arm around the teddy bear and read it out loud. We giggled together over so many parts of it, that were SO me (like where the Princess "flung herself backward onto her bed in dramatic confusion, tears threatening to erupt from her eyes.") We talked about the letting go of my old story - about how I feel sorta like I'm standing on a boat, and the anchor is in the water preventing the boat from moving forward, and it's so big because I've fed it for so long, and I'm poised to cut the rope and let the anchor fall.... so interesting... that I feel this current work like it's an alive thing moving through my entire body, it's not just up in my head, now I just gotta cut the rope.... and I'm going to a ceremony of releasing and clearing this weekend with my drumming group, so that's where it's going to happen... t said at one point that she has several pictures in her mind throughout my story that need illustrations haha if I could paint, I know what I would paint.... ! Anyway it was a wonderful session. I told her the other reason I wanted to come today is because I've come in there so many times where I couldn't talk, or I just sat there and bawled, or complained, but I really wanted to bring something GOOD in there for once, because I feel like she deserves that after walking with me through all the bad stuff. Boy, if I thought 50 minute sessions went by fast, 30 minutes really flies by.... and then on my way out she gave me a hug, didn't even ask this time it just naturally happened and I loved that too. Now I need to get my laundry started.... happy Saturday couch.
That sounds like a great session! I wish I had sessions with my t like that.

Thanks. It was! I feel very blessed by the relationship we have built between us. So much of my healing has happened because of/within this relationship.

ON the element quiz yesterday I got Polonium.
You’re dangerous, but that’s why people like you. You keep everyone on their toes and might just be the first element to be named after a political controversy. Just try to make sure nobody gets hurt because of you.

I am feeling inadequate today, particularly in the housekeeping department. Now that we have 30 free to air TV channels over here instead of 6 we get a thing called The Martha Stewart Show, didn't that make me worthwhile.

I went out for a meal with a friend from my choir tonight. He was wearing this shirt (or a variation of this, with the same image and text).

It made me smile.

Ungrateful animals! I gave the puppy perfectly good chicken and he is pushing it around the floor with his nose. I could have had an extra large sandwich today.

I have a cat that thinks all freeze-dried cat treats (shrimp, chicken, etc) are toys to play with...sigh.

Today i am going to start small and clean just the windows in the dining area. Usually this results in the momentum of that carrying me into other areas of the house. Hopefully it will work today. If not ,at least I'll have clean windows to look out when i eat.

There was a show on for a little while that featured one of her daughters, and she was kinda snarky about old Martha sometimes, which cracked me the heck up. With all the Mother issues I had/have, it was very relate-able. I forget the name of the daughter's show.

ive been thinking a lot about leaving my therapist. i am painfully attached. he is not unethical or anything, he is a really good therapist. lately when i go see him i leave feeling worse and worse. i have been really depressed for the past 3 weeks so maybe my judgement on this is clouded. im hoping when i get my period i can take a more objective look at things and decide what's best. (i think i have PMDD or just really bad pms that manifests as anger/rage and depression). i know i dont post in here but i read sometimes. i just needed some support from people who might 'get it'
